Great beach house!!!!
September 30, 2015
We had an amazing 6 nights! The house was in pristine condition. The views from every window were absolutely amazing! The house is fully equipped with all cooking utensils and a bbq outside. Washer/dryer for your convenience. Kayak, and boogie boards were there for use. We had cool breezes outside in the evening while dining outside. It was humid in the day and there are only fans in the house and one small cooler. I think it was because we went in September. But right up the road was an amazing beach to swim at, amazing swimming water!! And then if u drive up the road a little more there is an amazing spot to snorkel with colorful fish. Just buy your own snorkel gear at Walmart for $13. We ate amazing seafood at Sunset Bar and crab shack. But nothing can compare to the house host, Herman and his wife Julie!! They were the best hosts ever and cooked great!! You will love the "Berry Mangalo" pie that Herman makes, it's nothing you've ever tasted before! We have memories to carry with us forever and this house made it all happen. We got in the water at night and it felt great, just watch out for rocks. But the rocks have little crabs crawling on them and it looks so cool. Little tide pools too. A turtle swam by our house every day at the same time, such a neat experience. As soon as we can come back we will and bring more friends to share the experience! You will love it here, enjoy all future guests!! Aloha!

Had great time in Hawaii. House was big and open and was right on beach. It was great for 9 people. However many things were upsetting about the house. House wasn't very clean. As soon as we got in the house first thing we had to do clean the kitchen garbage as there were roaches roaming around. There were roaches, ants and baby lizards everywhere. We had specifically asked for good working BBQ and it was old, rusted and barely usable. It totally ruined our evening BBQ's. Toilets weren't clean and disgusting. Mattresses were shot and two of my family members had to sleep on floor and worry about roaches as their back was painful from mattress. We never met the owner he never came to see us or called about how things were going which shows neglect. The only selling point Of this place is the beach.

The moment we walked in the house we felt at home. the view out to the ocean is beautiful. The kids loved being right on the beach especially with all the sand toys, chairs and beach towels on site. All of the amenities needed were on site and we comfortably slept 8 people. some traffic noice but after a day ypu didn't notice. We enjoyed ourselves at the house.

I really wanted to give this rental 5 stars, but there were just a few things needing improvement. Don't get me wrong, this was an excellent stay for us and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a family Xmas vacation for a week; with 4 adult couples, a 17 yr old, and a 4 month old. A perfect space for 10 people. On a value scale I would give it 5 stars. The views and the beach I would give 5 stars. The backyard, lanai, balcony, and patio furniture = 5 stars. The two main bedrooms (up & down) = 5 stars. The bathrooms (three of them, which was great having) needed some updating = 4 stars. The main living area I would give 4 stars (nice sitting area & big screen TV, but the dining table needed more chairs). The parking, outdoor laundry, outdoor shower, toy shed, and BBQ area = 5 stars. The two secondary bedrooms = 3.5 stars (spacious with queen beds, but no view). The kitchen = 3.5 stars (galley kitchen that needs updating). Road noise = 3 stars and Internet = 1 star (we had to go to Starbucks). The property is located on a strip of beach along with a dozen other beach homes - great location about 30 to 40 minutes from the airport. Local shopping & restaurants are good, with upscale shopping/restaurants 15 minutes away. I suggest shopping at Costco in Kapolei for all of your vacation needs. The house comes well stocked with many items you will need for your stay. There are also local parks & beaches within walking distance, but there really is no need to leave the property. A gated driveway and beach gate gives you added security. Summer was great to talk with and she was very accommodating. Overall, I would highly recommend the Paradise Beach Rental. It is a great value and a very lovely place to sit back & relax.

Great vacation home
September 1, 2013
We loved the view of the ocean. We saw dolphins, porpoises and sea turtles frolicking in the ocean. Turtle cove was great for snorkeling and seeing turtles. The owner was most helpful with places to go, and had boogie boards, sand toys that we could use. The home was located in a quiet area and felt secure. We would definitely stay here again.

Great fit for our family!
July 13, 2013
At first glance, the house appeared fairly small, but to our surprise, we were greeted with a beautiful, spacious interior. The bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The surrounding windows made the kitchen our favorite part of the house. It was fully supplied with the utensils, plates, pots and pans that we needed. The backyard was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. The pool was also well-maintained. The only issue we had was with the dryer and the tv. The dryer left our clothes damp and sour. The tv did not work when we moved in, however the house manager, Meiko, made sure the problem was resolved immediately. Overall, the house was a great fit and we loved it!

No worries and beautiful
June 11, 2013
The beach house was so beautiful. All my worries was gone from the moment we step foot into the house and out to the yard. The view from the from the back will just take your breath away. The yard was very spacious and clean. The house had so much room and very clean. It has everything you need. Kids had all beach toys to play with. Our family got together to renew a wedding . The house has a care taker who lives on front of the property. He is so nice and very helpful. We felt very safe and welcome!!!! I would so recommend this beach house to all those whom wants to leave all your worris behind. You will feel like a brand new person by the time you leave. We will return to this beach house with our family again. I can't wait untill we can be back. Till then I will have all the beautifull memories of this wonderful beach house. A big Mahalo to Reggie and Cookie!!!!!!

The upstairs portion of the house has a great living room and kitchen; spacious and open concept. Bedrooms are dated but functional. Bathrooms require a bit of work for updating. Deck is very nice. Due to the location on the hwy it is very loud in the house during the day and night. Proximity to beaches is great and there is ample parking. The pool was ok - needed to have some TLC in getting leaves out of it each day [not done by owners who live in house behind the rental] and the hot tub does not have hot water in it. Clean and comfortable with no extra frills. Alerted the owners to the fact that there were rats living in the roof area and they were running across the wires/deck every evening but there was nothing done about this. Ick.

Perfect for a family to access the surf...
April 16, 2012
My family of 3 teenagers had an amazing time at this home, and we cannot recommend Carmen and Jan's vacation rental home any more than saying do no consider any other home. Water rats: My two youngest love to be in the water. Whether trying to surf, kayak or boogie board, everything is here and approachable. Jan and Carmen offer excellent advice. We all enjoyed using the equipment that is available to you. Home: Amazingly comfortable. Though not large, the five of us absolutely adored the layout and proximity to the water. Location: Since this is on the south shore the waves are easier, winds lighter and proximity to Honolulu, airport, Pearl Harbor, Paradise Cove, Hanauma Bay and Waikiki are easier. Easy: Late arrival was not a problem. Beach usage and access the last day when other renters are on way over, not a problem. Owners: Personable that caring that you have good time. This is the reason you choose a rental home vs. a hotel room...and Jan and Carmen a great! Would we rent again? ABSOLUTELY!

Loved Hawaii. The house was well kept and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appropriate amenities too cook any type of meal. Wish that gas for the grill was provided (that was unexpected). The two bedrooms were well kept although the upper room was by far the nicest. Fantastic view with complete privacy. Great for a quiet getaway.

Great family vacation
July 16, 2010
Good accommodations for my large family (11 adults and 1 grandchild). Yard was wonderful as well as beach. Home was well stocked with essential kitchen/bath items and the outside shower was a treat! I grew up in this town, so very convenient to family. Road construction to/from Honolulu is ongoing and can be difficult. Plan accordingly. Home is located on Farrington Hwy which is very busy all the time. Traffic noise was a bummer. Plan to stop at Costco/Safeway etc for supplies in Kapolei before heading to the home. Local stores are available, but choice and prices are better in Kapolei. Lagoons at Ko'Olina are a great hit for the younger crowd, but you need to arrive early as they limit guests to the "public" beaches. Another beach perfect for little ones is Pokai Bay in Waianae. Our older children preferred the 50 yard walk down to the sandy beach as at this time of year, the ocean current strips the beach in front of the home of it's sand. (sand returns in the winter) Lots of honu (sea turtles) and the occasional Hawaiian monk seal as well as dolphin sightings. Great sunsets and since you are on the hot side of the island, great dry weather is the norm. Signs are posted in the home regarding locking doors when leaving and taking valuables with you. We had no problems with theft, but one really needs to be mindful of this in Hawaii. No issues with ants, but the flies were awful making eating outside somewhat unpleasant. Bug spray is a must!

Fantastic Beach House!!
April 20, 2010
What a gorgeous place! Who could ask for more when you've got the beach in your back yard! More than enough space for the 10 people in our party. The traffic noise at night was the only thing I would "complain" about - but the sounds of the ocean were there to make it better. We would definately book here again! Thank you Summer!

I miss the house already!
October 28, 2009
We just got back a few days ago and our whole family is missing this house so much! The pictures of the house and view do not compare to the seeing it in person. We were blown away by the beauty of view. The backyard was absolutely gorgeous and so well groomed. My husband and I actually got married in the backyard. It was the perfect place for a vacation and memorable wedding. I would recommend this place to anyone that is reading this review! Mahalo for a vacation and wedding my family will never forget :)

Great Hawaiian Vacation
September 7, 2009
We spent a week in this house. It worked out great for our group! There were 9 of us in our party. The view was incredible and the sound of the crashing waves was great to wake up to. The openness of the home made you feel like you were outside when you were inside. The boys slept outside on the patio every night. The walks on the beach every morning was the perfect way to start the day. Watching the small sand crabs running around on the beach was fun for the kids, they were pretty easy to catch. Great sunsets! The hammock was very relaxing also! Thanks again Foster and Summer!!
Maili Beach House

The house was great, large with lots of space and we loved the sliding patio doors to the outside. Nice patio furniture and great umbrella for shade. We spent most of our time outside. The house was well equipped with towels and all the kitchen utensils as well as a nice outside grill. We had 9 people and never felt crowded. It was a Great house for a family vacation.
The best in Waianae

BEAUTIFUL! I love the place, it's well taken care of. Plenty of room for everybody and the view is spectacular. I live in Hawaii and rented this place for my mainland guests and we all loved it. We felt at home. I highly recommend it to everybody. We will rent it again. Thanks Summer!

The website photos of the house don't do it justice. The place is fantastic!! My family of seven stayed for ten days and thought that the house was the best part of our trip. Like many people, we had never stayed on Oahu's west coast before, but we thoroughly enjoyed the calmness and quietness and found that it didn't take very long to get anywhere else on the island. The view, the water and the local environment was peaceful and made for a great vacation. The house is stocked with more than you can imagine. Again, awesome vacation site!!!

Fun in the Sun
February 6, 2007
My family went to Hawaii for a relaxing vacation and boy did we find it. Never before have we stayed at a rental property where they think of everything. By going on this vacation we experienced what I believe is the true Hawaiian experince among the locals. Amazing beaches and sights all around(turtles swimming right in the water next to the house).
Wow! This place is very relaxing and fun. Thank you for making it possible for us to enjoy the beach, waves, and sun. It was a blessing we will never forget!
