It is 2 mile walk to town, for those willing to walk it is great walk . The sidewalk does not begin for 1/4 mile however there is a wide shoulder to walk along the road for that 1/4 miles
Manchester has many wonderful dining options from street venders to fine dining, your choices are many.
You need a car when you stay in Vermont as public transportation is limited.
