Description of the Manchester vacation home rental
Currently our home is being rented by a monthly renter. I am unsure of when they will be checking out. Please still inquire for dates past Feb. 2012.

Our house was the photo used in the Seattle Times' Neighborhood Of The Week dated Sept. 30, 2007.

Remainder of Summer dates are 20% off.. Book now.. Some left in July and August.

Our home is close enough to downtown Seattle, Tacoma and Bremerton yet a world apart. No hustle and bustle of the city life. Just a peaceful and relaxing stay. The house is 10 minutes from the Southworth/Fauntleroy Ferry(car or walkon). This ferry takes you to West Seattle and there is a bus on the other side that takes you to downtown if you walked on. We are in the town of Manchester.

This is a newly remodeled 2 story 2300 square foot water-front home on Puget Sound with breath-taking views. The master suite, extra living area, and 500 square foot deck all have a 180 degree view of Puget Sound, including Seattle skyline, Cascade Mountain range, Blake Island State Marine Park, Vashon Island and Mount Rainier. You won't find a better view.

The luxurious master suite with king-sized bed on the upper floor has expansive views while laying in bed, 400 thread count sheets and a deluxe master bath with a jetted tub. Master sitting room (separated from king bed by french doors) features a queen-size sleeper couch and an upper deck.

For boating enthusiasts, the house is situated within 100 yards of the Manchester Marina and Dock. So bring your boat and launch it. The Manchester State park is nearby with 2 miles of hiking trails as well as diving and fishing (saltwater). An information binder is at the house with all the local and Seattle info.

You'll be amazed at all the boat traffic on puget sound such as ferries, tankers, submarines, fishing boats and cruise ships (there is a refueling pier down the beach you can view from the house).

While sipping your morning coffee, enjoy watching the local bald eagles catch their breakfast along with the blue herons. You may be lucky and also see the seals swimming by. Enjoy the peaceful sea life while listening to the waves crash against the bulkhead.

There is great fishing off the local dock which young kids love to do. You can even catch crabs from the dock. Fishing poles and tackle boxes are provided at the house.
There is a sandy beach 20 feet to the right of the home, just before the docks. The kids love turning the small rocks over to find baby crabs. Bring the dogs to our pet friendly home, they love swimming in the sound.

Stroll along the beach, kayak to nearby Blake Island, or just enjoy the marine wildlife and the spectacular views.
Swing your troubles away in the hammock or sit down at the firepit by the bulkhead and roast marshmallows and eat smores. Watch the Seattle night lights sparkle

Our home is perfect for large or small families, multiple families(easily accomodates 3 families of 4 w/kids next to parents), small reunions, small weddings(my husband and I were married here), great for all types of women and men retreats, calling all scrapbookers?? golfers?? Also available for corporate rentals or a place to stay while in transition.

Please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate you in this wonderful Washington waterfront vacation home.

The house was spectacular. The layout of bedrooms, kitchen and decks with views were better thaw we could have imagined. The welcoming bottle of wine and the iced beer mugs were a nice touch.

Incredible retreat!

This beach house was the perfect retreat for us and our family visiting from out of town! Amazing views and the house was really set up and stocked for the optimum stay. When they say it can hold twelve, they really mean it could and comfortably! We have rented several beach houses in the Seattle area before and this was by far our favorite! You can't get much better than the full moon coming across the ocean on your right with the Seattle skylights on your left while roasting marshmallows in the fire pit right by the beach! The owner was by far the most kind & hospitable of any that I have ever worked with on such a rental. It is sometimes scary to rent directly from the owner rather than a rental company. You should have no such fear on this property! They made it even easier than a rental company would!! I HIGHLY recommend this location for out of town visitors or local folks just looking for a weekend gettaway!!

Wow-what a great weekend! Our friends and family spent Super Bowl Weekend here and everything was just perfect-from the fully stocked kitchen to the wonderful deck with great grill. Our group of sports loving fans, both young and old, were in heaven with the comfy living room and big TV. All the extras provided by the homeowner were greatly appreciated and made the stay that much more enjoyable...We had such a great time we even extended our stay to relax just one more day. The view from the home is outstanding-catch an early morning sunrise over the Seattle skyline with a cup of coffee-just perfect!

My family had a wonderful stay on our vacation!

The house was perfect. It has a great view of Seattle and was close to the ferry. The house was clean, all the appliances were new and the owners were very accomodating. I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting to vacation in WA or just for a weekend getaway. I would definitely stay again!

Our extended famil, age 2 to 60, gathered from Michigan, Minnesota and Seattle for a week's stay after Christmas. Even with rain and snow it was a delightful escape! The house worked beautifully for the 12 of us, plus occasional overnight guests during our stay. We found everything we could possibly need in the kitchen; everything throughout the house was good quality. The views of Seattle and Mt. Rainier (we saw it once) unbeatable. The kids loved the beach, fires with s'mores, and fishing from the pier. We also welcomed the easy access to Seattle, Tacoma, Bremerton and the Olympic Peninsula. We saw harbor seals, bald eagles and lots of sea birds and we could walk to the local inn for a good meal when we didn't want to cook. Communication with the owner was excellent. A great VBRO experience!

The house was exactly as described in the on-line information. My wife and I and our 3 kids spent a week there and the set-up was great. The views across the Puget Sound are tremendous and we never tired of them.

Five Star Rental!
My family and friends (total 6 adults, three toddlers, and two infants) recently spent a long weekend at the Manchester House. The house was beautiful and the views of Seattle and Mt. Ranier (in January, no less!) were fantastic. The house and environs were exactly as described - we'll be sure to return!

I and five of my colleagues rented this lovely home for three days and nights in late April for a retreat experience. It was wonderful! Lots of room to meet as well as plenty of options for alone time. The view is amazing from the living room, the deck and the upstairs. There was a chill in the air and the rain held off for us so we could open bedroom windows and be lulled to sleep by the water lapping at the shore. It was a wonderful stay! Christi is very helpful and responsive to any and all questions (even those about what condiments are in the cupboards! And there are plenty of those btw). It was truly exactly what six professionals needed to regroup, renew and relax. We have every intention of coming back!

Our family of 13 spent 3 nights in this beautiful home. The views are wonderful, the house is fully furnished and everything is bright and new. Roasting marshmallows while watching the lights of Seattle was the best! A great weekend!!!
