It is without reservation that I recommend this modern apartment at One River Place. I spent the summer here with my son and we lacked nothing. I chose this apartment without knowing anything about NYC and I feel blessed to have done so! Walking distance to Times Square, the Theatre District, and Pier 84 (a beautiful place to just hang out and my son loved playing in the fountain!). NY Port Authority Bus Terminal is also within walking distance where we caught the subways and Greyhound buses to everywhere. The terminal also has many food vendors, a pharmacy, clothing shoppes and a Bank of America ATM. Central Park is only a subway or bus ride away (we prefer Fort Tryon Park and The Cloisters museam however!) as is Brooklyn, the Bronx, New Jersey, Uptown, Downtown, the East Side, etc. We spent two months here and still did not see everything! The best things about staying at James' apartment is that it is SAFE and the VIEWS are unbelievable! Plus the friendliest doorman in all of NY can be found here. Feel free to request my email address from James if you have any questions.

If this apartment is open when you need a flat in the city take it! You will not find a better place to stay at the price of this 1 River Place tenth floor apartment.
I started taking the apartment for one month each year about 4 years ago. I am more than pleased with the apartment, the staff, and how the area has developed over the past four years. As far as I am concerned it is a very good value and the location is absolutely ideal. Smaller apartments in the new building next door are asking almost double the rent I am paying for my home away from home in this apartment at 1 River Pl.
My husband and I have stayed in the apt. every year for three years now. It has become a highly anticipated month to get our fix of NY and enjoy the luxury of our own place without dealing with hotels and hotel rates. The apartment is immaculate and the owner is friendly and easy to deal with. We appreciate the quiet secure totally equipped space to relax and recharge after a day in the city. The doorman and concierge are great. If you need any information or tips regarding places to see or restaurants they are happy to help. You can not beat this apartment. Take our word for it.
This apartment is a steal. It is only a few minutes from Times Square, Broadway, the subway, a bus that stops in front of the building. The doorman and concierage are friendly and helpful. It is extremely comfortable, well equipped, quiet and safe, with 24 hour staff and security on duty. I will definitely make this my home away from home in the city. The only annoyance was the construction of the high rise next door but since this was finished it is quiet again.
I stayed in this apartment for the month of January and could not have been more pleased with everything. The building is almost new and the staff were helpful and friendly. The apartment itself was immaculate and very comfortable. The views of the city are worth the rent and it was nice to be so close to Times Square and the theater district. Taylor Gillespie from the UK
