I had to give it one star, but it deserves ZERO: We reserved this 3 bedroom loft 3 months before our trip. On THE DAY BEFORE we were to leave I emailed and asked how we get in, get a key, etc. I immediately received an email that the property had been sold and the new owner refused our rental. The also said they had been trying to contact me, and couldnt get a hold of me. I gave them two email addresses and two cell numbers, but they couldnt get a hold of me?! They offered a few other options, one was a 2 bed with a pullout, the others were 3 beds, but no where near the original location. This was important as there were other couples traveling to meet us and staying in mid-town, near our original booking. Well, were screwed as we were leaving in less than 24 hours and had no place to stay, so I accepted one of the other 3 beds...only to have them email me that they were also booked! (It seemed odd how they could email me so quickly NOW, but not when they had cancelled our first reservation.) They had nothing for us, and we were on our own. The six of us had to scramble to find a place in less than 24 hours. I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, AND I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE! They are the most unprofessional and absolutely disrespectful company I have ever had the misfortune of knowing. All of us are "travelers" for work, and have never come across such a such an inept business in all our years of work. For your own good, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!

Great for location, large groups/families, price

Our extended family of five stayed here for 4 nights. The people at the agency were friendly and helpful. There were several forms that needed to be filled out ahead of time, but the key hand-off *at the apartment* (nice) was easy and smooth, as was check-out. It was winter and the apartment was blessedly warm, sometimes too warm. We had to open a window or two at night in order to have a comfortable temp. However, having a bus stop right in front of the apartment meant lots of street noise, and with the windows open, it was sometimes too noisy. The bathroom was clean enough as was the kitchen. The three bedrooms (two of which could sleep four people due to bunked double beds, the third BR had 2 twins but no closet) were comfy. There is a futon sofa in the LR which could sleep two more adults. Yes, this apt could theoretically sleep 12 people! Only 1 bathroom, though. The nearest subway stop--and Central Park--was a couple of blocks away and nearby are assorted conveniences like a deli, drug store, dry cleaners, etc. Hey, it's NYC--everything's available nearby, right? PROS: this place was large for NYC, clean enough, convenient, safe, nice management, easy check-in and check-out, kitchen had everything we needed: microwave, coffeepot w/filters, fridge w/freezer, toaster, pots, pans, flatware, dishes, etc. The winter special made this apartment very affordable for us! That, and the safe & convenient location, was a big draw. CONS: A bit noisy some nights, a little scruffy
