This house was great. The lagoon was beautiful. The only thing about this rental that needs to be changed is the downstairs. It needs to be cleaned up. Looks pretty junky. Our family and friends had a wonderful time.

Had a Great Time

Just as everyone else has said, this home was great. It was the perfect size for us (6 adults). (I think the floor could have been cleaner, but that's my only complaint). We have rented many vacation homes and have never stayed in one that had stuff in the pantry and the fridge that was there for our use! We did use some stuff and we also left stuff for the next guests. There is fishing gear that you can use which helped us not having to bring it on the plane. We weren't as fortunate as some of the other guests - we didn't catch too much off the dock, and there wasn't too much to see when we snorkeled off the dock, either, but that didn't take away from our experience at this house at all. The views were spectacular. (By the way, the tiki hut or palapa next to the house belongs to the neighbors and does not go with the house. Although they were very gracious and allowed our son to use it for his proposal to his girlfriend while we were there!!) Conch Key is very quiet, which is a plus. I think we only saw 3 or 4 other people the week we were there. We found ourselves driving quite a bit (to explore other parts of the Keys), but it was nice to come back to the house and just relax. If you want to walk to places to eat, shop and sightsee, this might not be the house for you. Also, Billy across the highway at the motel has great rates on boat rentals. And... Bonnie (at American Caribbean) is very good to work with and very pleasant.

Great Location for a low key Keys visit!

Our family of 7 adults & one infant fit very comfortably in this house. The views from the main floor & upper bedrooms was spectacular! Very well appointed house. The dock was nice for fishing & cleaning fish that we caught nearby on the bridge. A very low key area that may not be appealing to someone looking for lots of action. House is on a key that used to be all trailers & now is some trailers & some newer homes. We loved it & will rent again if we come back!

All I can say is WOW. This house was amazing, definitely first class all the way. It had tons of amenitities and the view was just breath-taking. Their was no need to rent a boat, we caught tarpon, baracuda, snappers and sharks right off the dock. The beach provided excellent snorkeling in crystal clear blue waters. This was probably the most amazing vacation place we have have ever been!

GREAT TRIP!!

May 10, 2010

My wife and I have rented MANY Vac Homes over the years and I have to say, this one was one of the best stocked facilities we have stayed in. It was like home. Everything was in it's place. It had every amenity imaginable, great decks, great views, great dock, it was just very nice. We laid on the deck one day and just relaxed. Looking out on the Atlantic was just sooo relaxing you didn't want to leave (or need to). We cooked out on the grill a time or two. The only draw back is if you have a group of elders, there is a lot of stair climbing involved. It was not an issue for us but it could be for others. Conch Key is a true paradise. I hate to even write this review because I would like to hoard this place all to myself. We went 2 or 3 days and never saw a SOUL!! UNREAL. We'd get up in the morning and take a walk down to the bridge. We'd see Rays, Manatee, Tarpon, Snapper, etc. from the bridge. Even on Mothers Day Marathon and Conch Key were nearly deserted. We had to go home that day and by the time we got up around Islamorada the crowds were there. Key Largo was even busier but not MARATHON or Conch Key. It is the OLD KEYS HERE still. If you like nightlife, partying down, dancing, etc. Go on down to Key West or Stay in Key Largo, If you like to relax, chill out, fish, dive, snorkel, and rejuvinate your mind go to Conch Key and stay at this property. You won't be disappointed. Bonnie at American Caribbean was a great help! I will stay again. I can't wait!
