2 BR Private Tropical Island Home w/ Boat&Kayaks
|Per week||$3,995 - $5,850|
This vacation rental puts you on your own private tropical island in the Gulf of Mexico. You have your own 17 foot center console boat with 50 HP 4 cycle engine for the entire week! This island (unlike most) has full power and water piped in from shore.
ARE WE THE ONLY PEOPLE ON THE ISLAND?
Your family or group will be the only people on Pretty Joe Rock. This beautiful island, the great views of the Gulf of Mexico, the motor boat and everything else on the island is exclusively yours for your entire stay.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN WE HAVE ON THE PRETTY JOE ROCK?
Our rental license allows up to 6 people to stay in the 2 bedroom home overnight. We have a king bed in the master bedroom and a double in the second. We also have a sofa in the living room and one in the screen porch, as well as a roll-away twin bed.
HOW DO WE GET TO AND FROM THE ISLAND?
We provide you a boat to get to and from the island, which is only a couple minutes from shore. Your car will be parked on our easement (driveway) where you can dock your boat when going into town. You can also use the boat to go fishing, go out to eat, or sightseeing during day light hours on the gulf side.
HOW DOES THE ELECTRIC AND WATER WORK ON AN ISLAND?
We have the only PRIVATE vacation rental island in the Florida Keys with both ELECTRIC & WATER piped out to the island from the mainland. What that means for you is that the water & electric works just like it would in the average home.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RENTING THIS ISLAND?
Pretty Joe Rock rents from 3:00 pm Sunday to 9:00 am Sunday. The boat provided is for daylight use only.
WHAT IS ALL INCLUDED WITH PRETTY JOE ROCK?
OUTSIDE: A 17' 2012 Triumph boat with 2013 4-stroke motor, boat dock, multi-level deck, wrap-around boardwalk, screened porch, hammocks, kayaks, fishing poles, a gas grill, and of course incredible sunrises & sunsets.
INSIDE: Fully Equipped Kitchen with Breakfast Bar, A/C, Satellite TV, DVD, WIFI, a washer/dryer, Sunken Jacuzzi Tub, Romantic Glass Enclosed Shower and more.
WHAT SURPRISES MIGHT WE HAVE?
The crystal clear waters around the island are visited by a variety of wildlife including dolphins, manatees, sting ray, lobster, crab, octopus, Barracuda, parrot and angel fish, to name a few. Some of which are residents of the underside of the island. Snorkeling would be the best way to visit them. We also have the above-water visitors and residents which would include roosting pelicans, great herons as well as some very friendly Iguana's.

Tori S wrote in our log book on 1-19-14 "This by far was our most unique & peaceful vacation. Who would ever stay in a hotel again when given an opportunity like Pretty Joe Rock? Another couple passed on joining us this week so we had to send pictures + texts + emails daily to show them what they missed out on! .... We are going to miss this island! I wasn't sure what I booked but now I'm a raving fan and not sure if I should promote it or keep it our secret hidden gem!"
Bob and Susan E wrote in our log book on 3-9-14 "We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary - we enjoyed a wonderful week of relaxing and loving this place! FYI the lizards love cherry tomatoes! And a great restaurant is Barracuda's at the end of our road on the right! Jim our host was the best - even with my stupid questions! Thanks Jim."
Brain B wrote in our log book on 4-6-14 "This place is awesome - had the best vacation - did Key West on Monday - forgot the rest of the week and it's already 5 o'clock on Saturday...not enough time"
Steve and Kathie K wrote in our log book on 4-13-14 "This is our second year at Pretty Joe Rock. We had so much fun last year we just had to come back! Our first night here we spotted a green moray eel. He loves shrimp and feeds mostly at night. we caught snapper off the swimming dock, snorkeled almost every day. Went fishing with Capt Jeff out of Captain Hooks marina...We saw dolphin swim by the deck and on our last day a sting ray, he was brown with white spots. Then there are the Iquanas! We call thelargest one Rango. Digit only came around one time (he is missing a front foot). We counted 7 total. All of the Iquanas will eat out of your hand even the smallest one, we called "Baby"."
