Great house with beautiful views

December 30, 2014

The home is in a PRIME location on Marco Island. We had many sitings of dolphins and water birds of all kinds. My adult daughters also swear they saw an alligator about 20 ft from the dock! The house is beautiful albeit a bit outdated. Some tweaking of hinges on cabinets and repair of a couple of broken pocket doors was recommended when we left. The worst episode we had was one morning when we got up and looked outside we saw the the pool had emptied itself! The rental company got the pool repair people out right away, but we did lose 2 days of pool use during our week stay. The huge living area is beautifully decorated and has 3 separate seating areas. There are 2 dining areas within that space also. The beds were comfortable and the master bathrooms spacious. One master bath had a crazy tub that was about 2 feet off the ground with narrow marble steps leading up to it. Caution is recommended! There is a separate shower in that bathroom, so the tub could be avoided if necessary. Overall I would rent this home again in a heartbeat. I didn't want to leave. I would have given 5 stars if repairs were not needed.
