MAGICAL EXPERIENCE!
5 STARS
My husband and I had the extreme privilege of returning to St. Lucia and Nature's Paradise this past July and it was even more magical than our first visit. The location is just perfect, right between the attractions of the north - Castries, Pigeon Point, Rodney Bay and the great activities of the south - Anse Chastanet, Soufriere, Sugar Beach, the volcano, etc. Most importantly, Nature's Paradise is extremely mellow and laid back with stunning ocean and valley views, beautiful grounds, a relaxing pool, good food and people; everything we could ever ask for in a great vacation.

One of the best things about Nature's Paradise is the personalized experience. You can be as mellow and lazy as you want or as active as you want. David and Wanda are happy to help you with whatever you need and leave you alone when you want that too. It is really special to have people you can go to and ask about how to get places, what places are worth trying to find, what isn't, etc. We were able to check our several places the locals hang at as well as more touristy things for a great balance between vacation and real life on the island.

Being snorkel fanatics, we spent a lot of time snorkeling from the nearby beach (a short drive or walk down the hill), Trou Vollant, and loved it. It seems to be a nursery for tons and tons of juvenile fish, eels and even an octopus! The fish get larger as you swim out toward the points and the coral formations are great too. It's not as amazing as the area between Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin, but we loved it and found it exciting every time especially considering how accessible it is from Nature's Paradise. Almost daily we would walk down there for a morning snorkel and then head out on activities or just hang out relaxing for the rest of the day. Perfect!

BETTER THAN A RESORT
5 STARS

Marigot Bay served as a great hub for our week's stay. Although we did not take Dave & Wanda (owners) up on their many offers they are wonderful hosts. For example, they offered to take us to a local waterfall & dinners and arrange a number of boat excursions. They can also arranged a rental car for & it's helpful to pick their brain about island restaurants & tourist attractions.

What was really helpful is they offer a cell phone for only $10 USD a week and laundry services. The 2 cottages both have kitchenettes and the fridge came stocked with a few amenities. The SuperJ grocery is a 10 minute drive away. Inside is a comfortable bed with mosquito netting & a large shower! Housekeeping services are offered every other day. Dave & Wanda basically open up their house to you. Wi-Fi is available in the main house & their pool is always open for guests. There is an electrical converter for Americans which was a savior too!

For independent people or those just wanting to get away from busy life, Nature's Paradise would be perfect! Small lizards run around the beautiful landscaping, birds visit you on the porch & it is situated atop a hill in Marigot Bay with STUNNING ocean views! Seriously. Most evenings we watched the sunset over the Rosseau River valley. From our Avocado Cottage's porch you could see cruise ships aglow at night & sailboats/rainbows during the day.

ONE GREAT VACATION
5 STARS
We stayed at Nature's Paradise for six nights in January, and felt quite sorry we had to leave. We stayed in the banana cottage, which, like the other cottage has a great view of Marigot Bay. The cottage is very clean and has a nice kitchen, so that we could stay home and cook for ourselves one or two nights. There is a small supermarket down by the bay, and a bigger one some 3-4 miles away. There is no wireless reception, so you need to go up to the main house for that. Breakfast is at 8am in the main house, a bit early for us, but the breakfast is very good, and the conversations with other guests and David and Wanda make it a unique experience in itself. David and Wanda are some of the most helpful and personable hosts we have ever encountered. They give great advice on where to go and where not, give an extensive briefing on the Carribean, St Lucia and Marigot bay. On the first night drove us down to Marigot Bay for dinner. If you stay at Nature's Paradise, and rental car is almost a must. Walking to Marigot Bay is doable, but perhaps not on a regular basis. Marigot Bay is probably the most beautiful spot on the Island, and going by ferry to the other side of the Bay for several good dining options and a small beach is a unique experience. Don't forget to ask David and Wanda for the small cove located close to Nature's Paradise, and where we spend a pleasant and private hour or two by the water. The pool in Natures Paradise is great, with beautiful views over the river valley and the ocean. On St. Lucia you are never far from anything, but this hotel is rather centrally located and it is easy to take short trips to various sights and beaches. David and Wanda offers guided trips as well. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly come back again!

A SLICE OF HEAVEN
5 STARS
It is about a month since we took a week out of our 'normal' life and spend a week at Nature's Paradise. My head is still swimming with all that we enjoyed there - the beautiful gardens and views, the people, the days spent exploring.... It was such a memorable time.

As long as you can cope with the 5 minutes or so drive up the rocky road (it is bumpy and not for the physically weak!) you will be in for a really special holiday. We stayed in one of the 'cottages' and it was perfect. We were looking for tranquility, beauty and a proper experience of the island, having ruled out the package deal at the busy hotels. Here we felt we could forge our own holiday, taking delight planning each day and exploring the island. We tended to take a 4-6 hour trip each day (with some exceptions when we barely left the cottage!) and then return to Nature's Paradise with food we had sourced locally. We then had our own drinks on the veranda overlooking the sea, or took them up to the pool area for the last of the sun, and to watch the sunset. We had expected to eat out but instead we sourced local foods and cooked them up in the cottage kitchen. It was such fun!

David was a great source of information and advice, and you really feel looked after. Wanda cooks the most lovely breads at breakfast and sources fruits to set you up for the day. We were surprised the first morning to be seated on the same table as the other guests but actually it turned out to be a great way of sharing what we had done or were going to do, and some of our best trips were recommendations of other guests.

AMAZING STAY AT NATURES PARADISE
5 STARS
We stayed at Nature's Paradise for 11 nights and had a wonderful time there. David and Wanda are amazing hosts and Nature's Paradise is located on an amazing spot just on a cliff around the corner from Marigot Bay.

The breakfasts are great, especially because all visitors are brought together to exchange their experiences - so we learned a lot about which places to visit and which restaurants to go to. David knows a lot about the island and can help you find your way. Definitely go to the market in Castries and get some Chocolate bars, so you can make hot chocolate when you are back home in the cold.

Room Tip: Take one of the cottages if you like to have a full kitchen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the most fun things to do at NATURE'S PARADISE?
A: Swim, Eat, Sleep, Other.
Q: How far is the Beach?
A: Our Villa and Cottages are set high up on a hill for great views, so walking down to the beach & restaurants is about 15 minutes, walking back up takes longer (a jeep is strongly recommended). The famous La Bas Beach is on the north side of the bay and there are no cars or roads. You access La Bas Beach by Captain Bravo’s ferry, which runs 24/7. The boat ride is about two minutes and is fun. There are five very good restaurants and one great restaurant on the bay. There is often live music at the restaurants around Marigot Bay. Anse La Raye, the next town, has a great block party called Seafood-Friday. Anse La Raye is a fishing village that has retained its character.
Q: Taxi at the Airport?
A: Please send us your airline & flight #, and your arrival time. The taxi driver will pick you up at the airport. He will have a sign with your name on it. You are arriving at Hewanorra Airport in the south of the island; the fare is $95 and takes a little over an hour. As you drive up the East Coast of St Lucia, the scenery is ever changing and often stunning. Wanda & I will be there to greet you on arrival. That evening I will take you down to a wonderful little restaurant on the Bay for some island cuisine.
