About the area

Wailea, on Maui's southwest coast, is set beneath 10,000-foot Haleakala, largest dormant volcano on the planet, along a string of pristine beaches. In an area three times the size of Waikiki, you'll find stately homes, condos, and five first-class hotels. Makena, a sleepy little area with a resort of its own, sits just to the south. Views take in the partly submerged volcanic crater of Molokini and the islands of Lanai and Kahoolawe. Paved pathways link the hotels and Wailea Shopping Village. Above the shoreline, the pathway is also a great place for spotting migrating whales in winter or sunset strolls.

We have rented a place in Maui during the month of February for ten years. This has been the nicest place. There is lots of room upstairs for entertaining with a full well equipped kitchen. Downstairs has two separate bedrooms with separate bathrooms, so couples can have their "own space". We are hoping we can rent it again with family or friends.

“Splendid base for Maui vacation”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2017

We really enjoyed our week of vacation in this very well equipped and maintained vacation home. We lived in this home with four adults and two small kids. The pool is close by - three minutes walk - for a quick refreshment. The lanai is big enough that six persons can easily have meals outside and relax in some cozy chairs at the same time. The view from the lanai is an amazing look through paradise with the ocean at the horizon. Several premium beaches are five to ten minutes driving distance. Golf players will love the proximity to several 18 hole courses just in the neighborhood. The home itself is equipped with a great open kitchen with state of the art appliances, a dining area, living room. It is well maintained overall and has a very personal touch which made us feel like being in a home and not in an anonymous vacation resort. The resort Palms at Wailea where this house is embedded in is also a very well maintained facility. There were just very few bugs around during the evening which made spending the evenings outside a great experience. The road passing by does make its noise during the day while during night it is not much used. So if you are looking for a great base to explore Maui and want to have the option to also just relax, this is a great place!

“Best place in Maui”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2015

Thanks so much for letting us stay in your amazing home. All the amenities one could ever hope for. We were enjoying Waikiki so much we extended are stay for 5 more days. Unfortunately we had to move into a different unit at the Palms, and it sure made us realize what a gem your place is. The kitchen have everything just like home, all kinds of spices, condiments, nice bowls, dishes ,glass wear, I could just go on and on. Also everything for the beach, towels, boogie boards, and very good beach chairs. The 2 sets of binoculars were and extra touch great for whale watching, and yes we some them from our beach. We look forward to returning to Maui and will be checking availabilty Once are dates are set. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. Ken & DeeDee

We just returned from a 10 night stay in this beautiful home. We Loved It! There were five of us and we had so much room to spread out it was great. I would recommend this place to anybody looking to stay in Wailea. The sunset views on the lanai were terrific. Having your morning coffee and watching the birds were so relaxing. We loved being able to have two full bathrooms and a 1/2 bath so all of us could get ready at the same time. We even found that the Geckos are friendly. I can't express how much fun we had staying here. The owners have done a great job in making sure everything you could need for the beach was here. We had towels, chairs, and snorkel gear, boogie boards, even a sand bucket and shovel for our daughter to play with. We felt that we could go have a fun time on the beach and then when we were all done playing we could come back here and relax. If you have a large family save this is the place to stay! I would even stay here again if it was just me and my husband!

This unit was absolutely perfect!! Great for large families. Great location only .10 mile from the ocean and you can see the ocean from the lanai. The owners of the condo have made it very rental friendly. Great flat screen TV, dvd collection, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, plenty of towels, beach chairs and all of the kitchen equipment you would need. We will rent this condo again and I have already recomended to many friends and family. Great big grass area for kids to play in right outside condo. Bottom line.....A MUST RENT!!
