“Mazatlan, Peninsula Style”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2015

Reservations through the owner were easy via FedEx and email. Upon arrival at the front guarded gate was not so lucky. It took about 15 minutes before the gate opened, 10 minutes to get the key to the Unit and finally we arrived on the 15th Floor. Never received a gate card, always an issue when entering the complex. View was terrific! We were told in advance to bring beach towels, so no problem. There was one-half roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one washcloth between both bathrooms, no paper towels, no condiments (salt, pepper), no hand soap anywhere, no shampoos, etc. So be prepared when renting a condo to expect nothing but the view! The gym is terrific - state of the art! Electricity is paid in advance so be sure to make arrangements upon arrival, otherwise it's lights, fans and air conditioning out during your first night. Beautiful beaches, no grocery stores near by (be sure to rent a car if you're staying here). Nuevo is pretty isolated from the flavor of Mazatlan. We found ourselves at the Malecon, Golden and Dorado Zonas, and had a blast! Most Mexicans speak English so not a problem. However, Peninsula caters to the Mexicans. So beware. Got our "sauna" in the elevators as there was no air the entire visit. Had the Unit cleaned twice during our stay, which worked out well. Noise travels up the building from the beach so if you're a light sleeper, keep sliders closed at night and air conditioning on.

“organized and panoramic”

The view from the balcony was spectacular. Being above the malecon makes for vehicle noise but we knew that going in. The condo was very efficient and the staff very helpful with a few small issues that was quickly resolved. During our visit, the building was seemingly empty and had too many rules and regulations but understandable for the size of the two towers. Parking was easy, secure and roomy. Location was mid malecon which was perfect for our purpose being close enough to the action but far enough away for some semi quiet time. And, lastly......the information provided ahead of time was plentiful and accurate. All of our questions were answered. Monies were handled professionally. We enjoyed it

our experience was excellent and I would be remiss if I did not mention the security staff at the complex every one of them cheerful and went out of there way to be extremely helpful with any problems we had all and all it was a great trip

“Vacation Stay In Mazatlan”

Reviewed 18 May 2008

My famalies experience at Las Gavias in Mazatlan was excellent. The comfort of the lovely two bedroom unit was just what a family needs in a stay in Mazatlan. The quiet and beach front swiming pool has a marvelous view of Mazatlan, from Valentinos night club to el centro and old Mazatlan. The pool was wonderful, the memories of my two children playing in the pool will remain with me for ever. The condo itself was comfrotable. My mother in law and the children shared a room set in the back of the unit as my wife and I had many romantic nights looking out into the sunset. The condo is perfect for famalies. The full kitchen and untensils really saved us a lot of money as we had the opportunity to eat in and spend quality time together as a family. The two bedrooms set well apart from each other is perfect for those who have kids, unlike a hotel or timeshare resorts. My wife and I felt like we really were at home, very private. I highly recommend the condo to everyone...
