Pros: The first look of the house is amazing. The living, dining area and kitchen are all very inviting. The large deck is really fun place for kids to hang out. It is about 1.5-2 hours from Crater Lake and the house is equipped with everything you need for a large family of 3+ couples. We were the first family to rent this place and it was a pleasant experience starting from the booking all the way to checkout. The owner was gracious to provide us couple of hours extra during checkout. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireworks and the gracious invite from nextdoor neighbors to watch the fireworks. Cons: Needs a makeover for all the locks in the external facing doors. Some of them aren't working. The 4th bedroom is not actually a bedroom but a loft with access from the living room - So not much privacy if you are looking for that. The other bedrooms are nice. The bathroom locks are also not working, so need to take care of that. The centralized A/C wasn't fixed until the 2nd day but the owner took care of it by providing additional portable A/C in the living room. That was very thoughtful and appreciated in the summer nearing 100 F. Need to add good lighting on the patio/deck at the bbq area. We had planned to use the bbq area at night for dinner and had some difficulty once the natural light went away. Overall it was a wonderful stay and hope to return for more.

My Response
Thank you for your review. The first renter review is a real blessing, as I get to see what I overlooked in preparing the house for guests. the day you left, and told me of the locks, I had them fixed. The air conditioning problem was unforeseen, but I got the repairman there immediately, and wished I could have gotten the repair 12 hours prior. My apologies. The outdoor lighting on the front deck is being addressed now. Thank you for choosing our home, and we look forward to a return visit.

We are so happy we indulged in this home for our vacation this year. Everything was more than we ever expected. The photos don't do justice to this home, it felt more like a European villa. This home sits on a hill surrounded by trees with amazing views from just about every room. It was so peaceful having coffee on the deck watching a doe with her 2 fawns walk by. Beautiful kitchen open to a family room with huge windows overlooking the valley. Although there weren't 10 people with us, I could see that many staying here without a problem. Everything was taken care of, the home even had multiple large screen TVs, although rarely used. The home is just minutes outside of Jacksonville a very quant old town and Medford. Access to the home is through an electric gate.

We stayed in this home from 7/26-8/2/2015 The owner greeted us when we arrived, showed us around, and made us feel VERY welcome. Everything in this home was clean and inviting! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, the bedroom beds were all very comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and clean. The bathrooms were perfectly equipped as well with ample towels for our families. The owner left us plenty of brochures of nearby attractions to visit, she also provided games, books and toys for the kids to enjoy. The outside patios were amazing, we barbequed several nights during our stay. We needed a few extra hours for check out and the owner was very accommodating. We would recommend staying in this house, you will not be disappointed!

My time spent here with friends the middle of July was both peaceful and reflective. One can always find deer who come up to the house to feed on the hillside surrounding the house. Great place to take walks and enjoy a rural countryside. Only a 10 minute drive away is Jacksonville, a small town where one can find many eclectic shops to browse in and some fine dining establishments. The house is equipped for all one's needs, beds are comfortable and there is seating for large numbers, however, if something is not provided, the owner is a warm and caring individual who is accessible to help. One can find other needs met by a 20 minute drive into Medford where they have a Costco, Trader Joe's, Walmart etc. Enjoy your coffee or tea in morning or a fine wine late in the afternoon on the deck and bask in the peacefulness of this tranquil environment, I did and came away refreshed.

We stayed at this property while visiting from out of town. We also had our local family stay with us so we could enjoy one another's company all weekend without any one family having to host. We spent the majority of our on the main floor, but the downstairs living area is also accommodating. We had a total of 8 adults and 2 young children. The stairs were a temptation for the little ones, but the owner bought a gate and provided other means of blocking the stairway entrances. We even had several friends join us for a bbq on the porch, which was great. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and supplies. If the weather had been nicer, we would have used the many patios and porches more. The rooms are comfortable, and the owner is very accommodating and welcoming. The house is removed from town, but not so far that it is impossible to get to stores or restaurants. It's about 8 minutes from Jacksonville, that has a grocery store and several fine restaurants. But the nearest fast food is 12 minutes. It was a wonderful stay

We rented this for a birthday party for my husband. The owner was very helpful and willing to let us in early to set up for the party and was very accommodating. Close to all of the activities Southern Oregon has to offer.

I've rented many vacation homes throughout the years. This was by far the best. The home is unusually decorated, and makes you feel uplifted as soon as you walk in. The bright colors, the cozy beds, the gourmet fully stocked kitchen, not to mention the huge deck that is perfect for barbques. We loved going wine tasting on the trolley from Jacksonville. And don't miss Jerry's Jet Boats out of Grants Pass if you come in summer. It's so fun! You won't regret staying at this unusual home!
