We are offering a 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage. Air Conditioning and 2 wood stoves with a big newer kitchen with all you need to cook a big meal. Rustic older home but functional.

There is fishing and swimming in our spring fed lake and pasture style golf with fabulous views in Mendocino county. Elevation 1450 ft. Black bass fishing will spoil you. 9 hole Executive length golf course for your use.

The house has dishwasher, coffee maker and coffee is provided, microwave, toaster oven, bathtub shower, Direct TV. king, double, 2 bunks, futon couch in living room, washer and dryer. We supply linens. The cottage is spacious (1400 Sq Ft.) with a large yard and decks all around with breath taking views of the surrounding mountain peaks and our lake. We have our own water and 10K of solar that run our green property. We ask you conserve both power and water as our system is support to the area for both utilities. Hiking trails around the lake and on the property.

Owner lives on same property 1/10 of a mile away, providing support but privacy. Do not depend on GPS for driving. We will send you good directions to the house before you are scheduled to come. We are Super Hosts on another vacation rental sight with 100% positive feedback. If you are used to the city, we will make you feel at home in the rural mountains.

Bring your golf clubs and fishing equipment. Spinners and poppers are good lures for the bass. There are two boats available, one is a pedal boat. Golf Cart and a disk Karaoke Machine are available for extra rental charge. Over 2000 songs with a PA and $50.00 for the Karaoke for the weekend. $35.00 for the golf cart per day.

WiFi Available at our house. You have to come up to get the signal and we welcome our guests to our home. Very little cell service in the area. Some Verizon based service with our booster. There is a land line phone in the house you will be renting.

Climate: The weather is hot and dry in the summer with cool nights for sleeping. Winter can occasionally get snow but it clears off the roads by noon normally. We provide wood for the wood stoves for our guest and you will arrive to a warm house in the winter. December is the coldest month with lows in the 20's at times but this year we only had two days of frost and no snow. Due to the drought, no outdoor fires after July 1 until October or until we get rain.

Great place to unplug & unwind

August 4, 2015

First off all, let me say Diane (and Frank) are the most gracious hosts. We arrived late on a very hot day and Diane left fans & AC on to make sure the house was comfortable when we got there. We enjoyed just hanging around, playing cards and board games with our kids, letting our dogs run around in the backyard, using both the paddle boat and fishing boat in the lake and picking fruits from the orchard (which Diane offered). One of our rare vacations where wifi or even cell service was not available (although we could've walked over to our host's house to connect to wifi) and we (even our kids) didn't miss it!!! Overall, it was a great break from the hustle & bustle of our daily routine. We will definitely come visit again!

Owner's reply:

Thanks Agnes! Glad you caught so many fish. We enjoyed your visit. Looking forward to having you visit again. I could use some fishing tips since my husband is the real fisherman in our family! Be sure to book early. We really filled up this summer.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Aggie and her husband were here for most of the week enjoying the fishing. They came totally outfitted and caught a lot of fish. They were very good guests who left my place clean and well cared for. Come back anytime!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the most fun thing to do at our ranch?
A: Golf, fishing, horse shoes, river swimming, star gazing, enjoying endless photo moments, and relaxing in the quiet beauty!
Q: Why is our place special.?
A: You can't go to a hotel and get the wilderness! Besides our 9 hole executive length golf course with 1175 yards for golf around our 10 acre surface area lake. You can swim, fish without a license, golf and be in the beauty of the Mendocino mountains above the Eel River. Unless you go camping, hauling a motor home or a tent to the mountains, this kind of experience is not what you will get. You can relax and unwind in God's beauty.
Q: What else is around?
A: The Eel River is a short drive to more swimming. The Round Valley Indian Reservation with casino and the Mendocino National Forest are to the east, the Redwood State Parks to the north and Willits has the Skunk Train and the Steam Engine Museum as well as 4th of July rodeo, and other events in the summer, spring, fall.
Q: Is it pet freindly?
A: You can bring your beloved pet. Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is a large outside dog yard to keep larger dogs in if you take a day trip. We ask to keep pets off furniture and do not let them run loose unattended on the property.
