When we arrived at the property, we had to wait 1 hour before the owner (Sam) showed up. Sketchy fellow carrying a scraggly dod. He spoke to some parking attendants, gave one some money, and that attendant lead us through some back hallways to an elevator. We went to the 5th floor with Sam and walked down a smelly hallway to room 546. At this time it was 9pm at night. First impressions were that the property was much smaller that shown, was very smelly, had cigarette burns in the fake wood floor, etc. Sam then gave us our guard gate entry keycard and on it was the name Victor Flores with a photo of a hispanic man on it. I asked Sam why it said Victor Flores and he sad "just tell the guards you are guests of Victor Flores". Feeling uncomfortable, we left for dinner and when we came back to the guard gate, the guards told us there was no one named Victor Flores that lived there! We called Sam, he asked to speak to the guard, the guard yelled and told him he was not going to do this again, and he let us through. Very uncomfortable. Once back in the room, we were able to assess just how horrible this place was. Where the photos showed a washing machine was now just an empty space with hoses hanging out. The kitchen cabinets were full of painting supplies, chalk, used Raid Roach Bombs, lots of bugs and roaches, not to mention the group of bugs crawling all over the silverware in the drawer. None of the 3 TV's were operational. The towel bar was torn off the wall in one bathroom and the bathmats were so saturated that when lifted, they dripped, and as the bugs scattered from underneath, you could tell it was infested with mold. The closets were full of old boards, cabinets, building materials etc as there was little room to hang clothes. The "beds" were basically a 2 inch foam pad on top of a 5 inch wood pedestal, and the beds were also teaming with bugs. The sliding balcony door had no handle and no lock and the balcony itself had a dead plant in a planter resting on it. Being so late, we decided to try and sleep and deal with the mess in the morning but after waking with bug bites, we decided to leave and we emailed and texted both Nina and Sam to let them know and that we wanted a full refund. 15 days later, still no refund of our $2700.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING!!!!!!! I recently stayed at this property for a birthday trip and it was a disaster from the very beginning!!! I was supposed to check-in at 3:00pm but the gentleman that was supposed to meet me didn't meet me until 6:00pm that day. Once I arrived at the Flamingo I was told that I had to enter into the unit through a side door that was propped open. I was shown the unit and given "instructions" on what to do in regards to entering and exiting. It wasn't until 8:00pm that I received my luggage from my vehicle because Samuel did not want us to carry our luggage up while it was still daylight in the fear that we would be caught. The truth is this community does not allow its residents to "RENT" out units so everything they are doing is fraudulent. Don't get me wrong the unit was very clean and nice. The property was even nicer. However, I didn't have access to the beautiful pool. Security checks the grounds often and if you are not a resident then you are asked to leave the pool area. We also didn't have WiFi. Samuel told me it was there but NEVER gave me a password! Nina, is the absolute worst person to communicate with. During the beginning stages of collecting information and the booking process she is very efficient and prompt but once you submit your payment she disappears into thin air. You are then in contact with her assistant Samuel, who isn't the most reliable individual to get ahold of either. I had to get Pay Pal involved and send SEVERAL emails and texts to get my $500 deposit back on the room which took 7 days as opposed to the 2 days they promise in the rental agreement. Had it not been for the group of friends I was vacaying with being okay with the entire ordeal I would have had a horrible vacation!!!!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS OWNER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I ADVISE YOU TO STAY FAAAAARRRRRR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!!

Nice Room, Terrible Experience BEWARE

March 20, 2015

Before we got to our rental they changed units three times. We got in three hours later than what we were told we could. We had to tell security that we were friends of a person there that we never met to gain entry. We never received (stayed 5 days) key cards that allows you access to the pool, getting in the elevators, and getting past security. Room was good except you couldn't reach the thermostat because it was behind a 6' x 8' TV stand and closets were filled with old furniture. Nina responded to emails during the booking process but never heard from her again when we had complaints. Samuel was our contact in Miami and he got back to us 50% of the time. Parking was more expensive than what we were initially told. $22.00 instead of $18.00 per day. We had to put a deposit down which we had a hard time getting back. We had to threaten to get PayPal and credit card company involved before we got our deposit back. Overall the room was decent but the customer service was terrible. Would not book with them again.

The person who posts this property claims herself as the owner. We did agreed to rent this property between Feb 27th - May 6th and sent her two checks for the total of $1000. Here is the email we received from her right before the day we were going to get into apartment: " I have very unfortunate news, the owner of the apartment is no longer allowing any guests in, there was major damage last week in the apartment due to a group of young people staying there, he will not hand me the keys and is denying access to any one who claims to go to the apartment, I know I'm putting you and your family in a very bad situation, and I am doing my best to find you another vacation home, this has never happen to us in any of the apartments that we run. I will obviously refund your payment and as of now I'm still searching for another option. Please excuse me for all the stress this may bring to you now, but unfortunately the situation is out of my control. Regards, Nina Rivero" My family had already arrived at Miami on that date and there were no place to stay. I had to sit and spend hours to find another place for all off us before I also fly to Miami to meet them. Such an embarrassment. Obviously she does not even own the property. We went to talk to property management office and they told us that the apartments can not even be rented out less than 30 days and there is no such person authorized to rent this property. I went to Miami police department to press charge on this person and filed a complaint. She never answers my calls and messages. I am still trying to take my $1000 back. So far no luck. They still advertise this property shamelessly. DO NOT FALL INTO THIS.

This was the WORST VACATION I've ever had. The owner Nina Rivero and her brother Javier DID NOT tell us about the CONSTRUCTION VIEWS! Also, they weren't there when we checked in and we were left with only 1 guest pass for 4 people. We found out that owners are NOT SUPPOSED TO RENT CONDOS at the Flamingo which made things very awkward for us. I contacted Nina every day of our trip and she was out of the country, and halfway through the trip her brother, Javier tried to make things better. Such a disappointment. She ended up giving me only $600 back on the rental, and it just was not enough. She LIED about the views and was not present with our vacation issues. NEVER AGAIN!

This whole situation was a nightmare! We landed in miami only not to be able to get a hold of anyone. When we finally did, no one had a clue we were staying there. Finally someone remembered and met us at the apartment. We get there and some guy takes us to the apartment. We walk in front door and the guy who let us in says i will go get you guys some towels, we look around after he left. I realized this was NOT the one we signed up for. there was a moldy coffee pot, he had taken a shower in the bathroom (wet feet print on rug, beard trimmings on counter) a hamper full of dirty clothes, the beds were slept in, not to mention ONE tv! we were supposed to have tvs in all rooms, not to mention THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE CABLE OR INTERNET HOOKED UP! the guys comes back with our "towels" he had run to tj max/ross and BOUGHT us towels. furious that this place was discusting we wrote NINA the "owner" she said the lease on the place we had rented was up and they had to get another place! She didn't even inform us or let us get the opportunity to change our mind and get a diff place since it wasn't going to be the place we originally requested. she said they would fix the issues the next day (what was she going to do? buy 3 new tv's and have a cable and internet guy come out?) it was not up to par. We tried multiple times to get a number for her but she only answers email. we called the other owner, her brother or husband, not sure who he is he said he would get a hold of her. He never returned our call. So we had to find a new place to stay as this was not what was promised to us and not worth the $3000 we paid. Needless to say i will NEVER EVER recommend these people STAY AWAY!!!! We emailed NINA again when we got back to claifornia and no response. WE WILL BE TAKING FURTHER ACTION TO GETTING OUR MONEY BACK!!!
