“highly recommend”

WE loved out week there. The cabin is in a beautiful setting with a great view. It was clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable, no stress week, and was minutes form Lake Michigan. It needs updating, or you could look at that as part of its charm. Excellent!

Owner's reply: We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our lakeside log cabin. We think that the peaceful setting is perfect for a relaxing vacation.

The cabin is secluded, with a large yard and the whole property is surrounded by trees. Since it is situated back from the road it is very quiet. The yard has lawn furniture and a fire pit and in the garage there are various sports items, i.e., balls, bats etc. There is also a barbecue grill for your use. The inside is very clean (though dated) and includes a washer/dryer, all kitchen equipment, all linens, WiFi, TV, radio and air conditioning. The owners are very nice and respond immediately to all questions--we were presented with a jar of home- made preserves upon our arrival. There is a small dock and includes the use of a canoe....the only difficulty is there are 75 stairs down to the dock which would be difficult/impossible to maneuver with any type of medical issues. It is very shallow at the beach and even at the end of the dock so we either took the canoe out and fished or drove the very short distance to the nearby lock. They do allow dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent the cabin again.

“Peaceful and Private”

We were charmed by this cabin. If you like modern, this is not the place for you. If, however, you appreciate yesteryear and the classic cottage style, this is the place. We worked on our boat in Muskegon and returned 'home' in the late afternoon. We entertained family that lives close by and the outdoor space is perfect for this. Thank you for sharing your well cared for and wonderfully preserved family cabin with us!

“Great cabin with excellent view of Whitelake”

The cabin was wonderful, fully equipped with everything we needed, linens, kitchen supplies, even coffee! Close to the beaches, shopping, nice bluff area overlooking the lake, very peaceful setting. Second year in a row we have had our family get together there. We hope to be there again next year.
