“Amazing Property!”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2016

Above All Else is a spacious and immaculately kept home with spectacular views overlooking the horses and pastures at Windsong. The owners, Jim and Sue, are accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. From the moment you check in at their farmhouse, you're relaxed and feet immediately at home. They escort you up the lane to your rental and give you the lay of the land. There is an amazing front porch for breakfast in the morning or a cold drink at the end of the day. The kitchen has everything you need to allow you to prepare meals. We grocery shop and then are set for the week. The laundry room is large and allows us to be able to pack lighter! The kids love their rooms with the Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs. My parents always travel with us and they have the master bedroom and bath. There is also a bedroom on the main floor with a desk (great for working remotely) and a full bath right next to it. We love the proximity to DC, Frederick, Baltimore, and Gettysburg - yet we are able to come back to the tranquility of the farm each evening. (You're in the middle of nowhere surrounded by everything! My favorite place to be!) The kids enjoy being able to visit the horses in the morning - as well as Jim and Sue - before we head out for our daily adventures. We couldn't ask for a better place to call home for a week while visiting family, friends, and the sights. We will definitely be back!

Owner's reply: We are always pleased to have return visitors! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for your kind words. Sue
