Home away from home

I have rented a number of vacation homes and this one by far was stocked better than any. No need to pack alot of extras - just your food and clothes. Laundry detergent, soap, etc. were already there!! I really appreciated that. A lovely view, very peaceful and quiet. The home was immaculate. The homeowners were lovely and added a few nice touches to show they care. Great place. We will come back!!

A beautiful home in a stunning landscape. Well-appointed, the owners have thought about their guests every need. My only regret is that we did not have a longer stay. I hope to visit again.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

What a lovely place this is! When we arrived, the sun was shining, the wind whispered through the pines, and I could feel myself relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. My 5 year old said, "Wow! This is perfect!" and I agree. With so much land and good fences, we could let the kids run outside and play all day long. We enjoyed the mountain view, playing in the cornfield, watching the farmer plow, running down the hill, and several picnics. The house is so cute and had everything we could ever need. All of us had such a great time here. Thank you! The Morbers, Virginia April, 2014 (letter left in our in-house guestbook)

Hello! :-) Thanks for having us at your place. It was truly an awesome experience! Coming from the tiny island of Singapore, we do not have the luxury of having a mountainous retreat. The location of your home is amazing! It's as though we literally have the whole place to us. The night sky is very beautiful too.

We managed to see millions of stars, which we would never do in our city. This place allows us to go back to our childhood days as we fiddled around with the cassette tapes and admiring the many toys you have on display.

Your kind gestures of stocking up the pantry as well as giving us a nice welcome note and gift is very much appreciated. Thank you once again!

Judy, we thoroughly enjoyed our weeks' stay in your home in the Shenandoah Valley. Your house and yard have great views over the countryside and the corn field. The lightening bugs in the corn field and around the house were spectacular and a real treat to see. Your location was perfect for touring the Shenandoah Valley. Thanks for sharing your home with us. (George K., Houston, Texas)

Hi Judy, We had a great time and great weather. Your property is so beautiful. I attached some pictures my daughter took. She was especially enchanted by the corn field. We went to the covered bridge, that was beautiful. Since we love to cook, we appreciated all that you had on hand from the pots and pans and seasonings to the towels and sheets. This was a great time and space saver. I know from our past vacation rentals all that we needed to cart. Thanks again! Warm regards, Janis McCarthy, New Jersey (By e-mails)

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend. Your home's so warm and comfortable. We could definitely feel the Spirit of God here. Our vacation has truly blessed our marriage. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We now have a home away from home and will recommend others to come out and enjoy this as well. We will be back! (Angela and Ed Hancock, Philadelphia, PA)
