in the details

It' is always a gamble booking rooms and rentals on line. This time the gamble was in my favor. I felt like I won the lottery. Cozy, comfortable, sunny, warm, bright, clean, well-loved cabin. Hiking Mt. Rainier was a dozen miles away, elk crossing the road, a community center with games indoors and out. The evening hot tubs were the topping on the perfect place to be in a magnificent forest. There were vases and pots of flowers on the deck, a fire ring ready to go for evening fires, roasting marshmallows or hot dogs or sipping wine. It was a yearly visit with my granddaughters and this was a great place for us to be. I would return in a heart beat.

Owner's reply:

Perfect Last Minute Weekend

May 30, 2014

We planned a very last minute weekend getaway for Memorial Day and found this great place! It was still available and the cost was totally reasonable. Loft cabin was spotless clean, the beds were AMAZING, hot tub was perfect temperature, loved the fire pit area, the whole trip was just great. We saw 7 or 8 elk during our trip which was really unique and cool. Biggest thing I want to point out is how responsive the owners were. Since we were looking last minute, I sent out inquiries to a lot of cabins hoping to hear back from someone. This was the very first response we got, everyone else was a couple days behind them, sent off a couple emails to each other, they addressed all of my questions with detailed answers, paid and done. SO easy. No other response was personal and detailed like theirs. And even now still, more than one owner never even got back to us! Highly recommended!

Owner's reply:

We are so glad that you and your family had a wonderful time here and thanks for the kind review. Hope you will visit again soon.

July Trip

August 29, 2012

Three adults used this home for 4 nights. Seating is not great in the main room. . There is no cable so no TV or internet. The sleeping arangements were fine except the the steps up to the second floor bedroom are very steep (would not recommend it for older adults). The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils for cooking and there were plenty of towels for the bathroom.

Our stay at the Eagle's Nest was perfect!!!

Everything about the Eagle's Nest was great. The cabin was cozy, comfortable and romantic. The area is quiet and beautiful. The jacuzzi was relaxing amidst the December snow. I would absolutely recommend staying here and cannot wait to return!!

Amazing Place!

We spent 3 amazing nights at the Eagle's Nest cabin and had a wonderful time. Great hosts and enjoyed visiting with them. We went for walks and saw several elk. We were even able to bring our small dog with us and she enjoyed the walks as well. The price was very reasonable, much cheaper than other similar places we have stayed. Our plan is to go back next spring or summer and stay for an entire week. 3 days just wasn't enough time.

Mini Honeymoon Getaway!
Left on 10/07/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This was amazing! The hosts were great and once they showed us around they left us to enjoy our stay. If we needed anything they were always available still. The Eagles Nest is cozy, clean, and incredibly convienant. It became our home away from home. Quiet, relaxing and just beautiful. We literally went out there to get away from the city life and enjoy each other. It could not have been better. We will deffinately return again soon!

So peaceful and hospitable we didn't want to leave.

The pictures of the cabin and grounds do not give it justice. Eagle's Nest is beautiful and comfortable. Upon walking through the door, we saw a bottle of wine, chocolates, and a very low relaxing music and things only got better after that. We especially enjoyed the evening elk visits and sitting around the fire pit. Our stay was like visiting friends!

Owners are very friendly. Cabin is clean and well stocked - towels, bedding, kitchen, books, dvd, wood for camp fire, everything except food. Hot tub under the trees in the night is the best. We will definitely come back.
