Booked very last minute and Dorene was very accommodating. My 3 kids and I had a blast in the late winter snow and loved having the hot tub right on the water to come back to. The master bedroom has great views of the lake and I'll definitely be looking to book again in warmer weather to enjoy the lake.

Spent a relaxing week at this property. Hot tub and fireplace were great! The cottage is well equipped and clean. Very peaceful location. We enjoyed cross country skiing and a winter raft trip, but spent most of the time relaxing at the cottage. It was the perfect winter getaway!

Stayed during January 2016. Girls weekend. Wine, Laughs, crafts. Loved the hot tub even with the cold...

This cottage is so cute and cozy!!! Beautiful picturesque views of the lake. Picture below is looking out the back door. Snowmobile trails are right next to the place. Walking distance to an eatery pub. Cottage is very clean and updated. Hot tub is wonderful. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. Hope to stay here in the future.

We arrived to the worst weather possible, perhaps. Cold, high winds and rain. And we STILL had a great night in the cabin and the hottub! Fall weather is unpredictable in Northern Michigan, but the upside to our timing was that we literally did not see another soul the entire day! The weather turned unseasonably nice for the last two days of our weekend stay, and still never saw a neighbor. Of course, that means we had no worries about anyone seeing US during our anniversary celebration. It was like our own private beachfront resort. If you're looking for seclusion, I highly recommend this property during the off-season. Easy to find, a few minutes from Cheboygan, a gorgeous view of the lake...and yet no one around. The hot tub was the reason we came and the feature we enjoyed the most, but the cabin itself was very adequate. Cozy with plenty of room for 2 (or 4, I'm sure), and all the things you'd want to find were on hand. A bit rustic, but comfortable with all the modern amenities just the same. We stocked up at Cheboygan's Walmart on the way in, and never left again. One note though: we failed to find any restaurant that would deliver at 9 pm on Saturday... but weren't hungry enough to bother with getting dressed! Hostess had perfect communication and was extremely accommodating and flexible beforehand, and - by our choice - we never heard from her again after check-in. Thanks again for providing a great stay at a great price! Just what we needed. Already planning a return next fall...

My boyfriend and I had an amazingly relaxing time here! Enjoyed watching the stars in the hot tub and waking up to the lake right next to us.

My wife and I stayed at Sunrise Sunsation for a week this past summer, in August. We had a SPECTACULAR time. The cottage was beautiful, comfortable, well kept, and very clean. We slept so well, the beds were comfy and warm but the lake breeze kept things cool with the windows open at night. We live in Chicago so it was a very nice change of pace to have such a quiet place to stay while on vacation. The cottage is right on the water, and it's at the end of the lake road so it's very secluded. We went on walks on the path right by the house, swimming in the lake, went horseback riding at a nearby stable, and golfing at some area courses. We love to vacation in Northern MI in the summer and have stayed at several different properties. This one beats them all by far. We couldn't ask for a better place to spend a week. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and kick back for some R&R, this is the place for you! Could not recommend this cottage more. Absolutely wonderful.

We spent a week at this cabin and had an amazing time for our 30th anniversary. We really really loved the hot tub looking out onto the water. Very secluded and perfect for privacy yet close enough to communicate with other cabins as well. We will definitely be back!!

This cottage was absolutely beautiful. The owners take excellent care of it with new, updated furniture, cable tv, kitchenware, etc. We were up there for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay! We ice fished right outside the cottage. We also ate at Breakers right down the street and it was very good. The hot tub was wonderful and very clean! Dorene, the owner was extremely accommodating and answered any questions. We will definitely be back here in the summer.

This is a lovely place to visit. Very clean and cosy. My partner and I had wonderful 3 nights here over New Year. The cabin is close to grocery store and local bar. The snowmobile trail right outside front door and it did manage to snow whilst we were there allowing us to snowmobile for a few hours before we left. Loved the hot tub on the deck made a perfect New Year's Eve. The owner Dorene very helpful and answered all my queries and questions even tho if different country. No problems booking from different country either. We will hopefully be back next New Year.

We came here for our 25th anniversary. First time away with no kids in over 8 years...worth the wait! Beautiful sunrises, perfect weather 70 all weekend and sunny skies! Husband caught two small mouthed bass and one was huge! We fished, boated, walked on trail behind cabin and went to eat a few times at Breakers and Hoppies Tavern. Just relaxed, read, hot tub everyday...at night was the best with cool clear skies and a full moon!... walked, fished and husband did a lot of fishing most of the weekend. Had ducks come right up to deck and saw loons and a bald eagle. Loved it...thanks John and Dorene for being so helpful! Hoping to be back next summer for a week!

Spent a week at the cottage and had a great time. Listened to the waves every night while drifting off to sleep. Saw a bald eagle dip down to the water and catch a fish. Went kayaking, boating, biking, walking, swimming, and took a dip in the hot tub. Had a fantastic time. It was a great place to spend a week. Wish I could spend the whole summer up here.

My husband, 2 labs and myself had a wonderful time-cabin was very clean and quaint. Enjoyed the hot tub, very private, enjoyed walking on the lake(ice). Beautiful sunrises every morning. A really beautiful location-enjoyed watching the sleds-ice fisherman and even a couple of trucks on the ice. Had nice dinners at both Vivios and Breakers Bar.

cute, cute, cute! went for a weekend get a way. We had the hot tub and the fireplace. Walked on the ice and just relaxed. we even brought our dogs! what a wonderful weekend out of the city life! Liked this cottage very much and can't wait to come again.

This was a great little cottage! The owners think of everything from board games to shampoo, which is awesome because you always forget something... and when they say waterfront they meant it! Most of all it's well kept and clean.

We were very pleased with our stay at Sunrise Sunsation...it was clean as a whistle and living right on the water was really special. They had lots of fun toys to play with and it is a great area, with some great restaurants.

Location, location, location ~ I know you have heard this a million times in your life but honestly its the crowning jewel. My three daughters and I take an annual weeks R&R every summer. We feel in love with Sunrise Sunsation. Not only did it meet all our expectations (and you can only imagine four women's expectations) it surpassed them all. We not only enjoyed hot tubbing every night, sun bathing literally a stone's throw from the lake, making smores by the bon fire that we built. We were able to visit Mackinac Island for the Lilac Parade & Grand Hotel, Mackinaw City for the Ol' Time Photo, Petosky & Charlevoix for shopping galore and even had time to visit a vinery or two with little to no effort. Cheboygan had the Walmart for food which was just down the road. The owners Doreen and John couldn't be any more accommodating. Everything was easy breezing from booking emails to driving directions. You simply walk in and relax. We will be revisiting next year to bring our boat and take full advantage of beautiful Mullett Lake. I highly recommend to one and all expect for the week I will be returning. Happy Vacationing.

Pictures are accurate, VERY clean, like new. Quiet area, great walking trail behind cottage. Water is really clear. Close to towns, stores for rainy days! Owner was excellent to work with. Definitely have plans on returning!!!
