Description from owner

This cabin is located at the end of the road with a lot of privacy. It is conveniently located between downtown Murphy and Blairsville and the roads leading to it are not steep or rutted. Motorcycles welcome.

This quiet location is great for sitting on the back porch and watching out for the deer and turkey. This cabin offers a very peaceful atmospher, thus the name "A Peace of Eden".

Everything you would need to enjoy your vacation is furnished. Bring your clothes, toothbrush and good eats and you can relax and enjoy. If you must bring your computer, there is Wi-Fi.

I try to keep the cabin affordable so folks can spend their money enjoying the area and not just on a place to rest.

About the area

"A Peace of Eden" is located in a small subdivision with only one other house on the street. It is about ten miles from downtown Murphy and very close to Fosters Flea Market. Murphy is a quaint little town with a great historic past. Visit the Museum downtown to find out about our beginnings. Be sure and do some white water rafting while in the area. (when open) Or try your luck at the casino in Cherokee. We are surrounded by National forests which provide great hiking/biking trails and trout fishing in the streams. Come and discover for yourself how wonderful this area is.

“Awesome!”

This cabin was everything We wanted and more! I've never stayed in the mountains and this place made me want to move here! It was close enough to everything but far enough away to have your own privacy! I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to go to the mountains to get away and relax!

“Mama and Daughter Vacation”

This was the very BEST Cabin ever to stay in. Very relaxing, quiet and very beautiful, loved the area, 1st morning we had 2 beautiful deer visit us in the back yard, where there is also small stream. There are many hiking trails and other things in the area to do.. Ms. Pat is a wonderful hostess. She met us there after hours and helped us get settled in.We couldn't ask for a better New friend, she was very helpful. There are many things to do in the area even in the winter. We do plan on doing this again, maybe more than once a year. My daughter and I had the best time.. I would recommend every mother and daughter, or father and son to spend time together. This cabin is the perfect place to do so. I do plan on taking all of my daughters and granddaughters next time I know they will all enjoy this cabin. If anyone gets a chance to go to Murphy, North Carolina give Pat a call, you will not regret it... You will have the best vacation ever.. My husband and I plan to go this summer, I can hardly wait..

We had an awesome time! Cabin was super clean and Pat was so nice. The back porch was our favorite part of the cabin, it was so quite and peaceful. This cabin had everything you needed even books and movies. Looking forward to our next visit. Can't wait to visit this winter. Thank you Pat for providing an awesome and affordable getaway! Also thanks for letting Maggie come along.

Owner's reply: Looking forward to your return.

“the mountains called....”

we wanted to get away from Florida and do not much of anything...The cabin as described is very private.Even though there are quite a few homes around, once your in the cabin you don't even notice or see any one. The back porch/deck are very private and the perfect place to read and have that morning coffee and glass of wine in the evening. And for any fellow Floridians....there are no mosquitos!!!..This was the first time we traveled with our dog Walter and this was a great place to go on long walks. The entire area is very dog friendly, (especially Blue Ridge, GA) but Murphy also has a t least 2 restaurants were dogs are welcome on the outside decks. The cabin had everything you need and was very comfortable and cozy. The roads leading to the cabin are very easy to navigate. If you want mountain views, this is not the right cabin, but if you like being "in hte middle" of the woods, this is great. Peace and quiet

Owner's reply: It was great having you and I hope you will return when the Mountains call again. Pat

“Peace and Quiet”

My daughter and son in law decided it was about time to take me on a trip. My daughter found this rental property and decided this was the place. The cottage was in a secluded area and quite the place. The cottage was clean and there was everything we needed (appliances, dishes, towels, sheets, etc.). If only the weather hadn't turned so cold, I believe sitting on the back porch of the house in the early AM, with a cup of coffee, would have been great, but luck was not with us the whole week we were there. The price was great and well within our means. I would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone and I intend to go back but when I do it will be at a time when I know the weather will not be as cool. As I said I would and will go back again.

The cabin was roomy for the 2 of us and had any and everything you can imagine as far as the kitchen. If you're looking for a quiet get away this is the place.

“Great Little Getaway”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2013

The cabin was very nice. It was well laid out and very comfortable for four people. The back porch was great for sitting out in the evening as its view was of forest with no intrusive houses. Our only disappointment was the gas fireplace which was unusable due to a lack of propane. Our suggestion would be to have the propane tank filled and monitored. This would be especially true for those wishing to rent the cabin in the Fall/Winter. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Buying this cabin was one of the best moves I have made in my lifetime. I have made many friends through my rentals and it has been a wonderful way to have my clients (I am in real estate) be comfortable while looking for that place to call home here. When I walk into the cabin, I feel at home so I know it is something that others will enjoy, too. That has been my goal! Hope you will join the list of happy guests at "A Peace of Eden".
