“Cottage rental review”
We stayed in the cottage the week of August 13-20, we came in to a very clean, updated cabin. The owner greeted us and was very pleasant!! We rented the pontoon with the cottage which is a huge plus, and if you like to fish is a necessity. We truly had a great week there, we had beautiful sunsets, a fire pit down by the beach, the washer and dryer were also a plus to have for keeping up on the laundry. A great cottage for ghe money for sure.
“Peaceful little lake house”
Our Family of 5 stayed at this peaceful little lake house for a family get away. The house was nicely remodeled, comfortable, and more spacious than we expected. The lake out back was peaceful enough to relax on and big enough to play on. We enjoyed the kayaks available to us but it would be great for some jet skis. We went on day trips to Lake Michigan and Silver Lake but We were happy to have a quiet place to settle at the end of each day.
“Wonderful Family Vacation”
I found this vacation spot online. We were a little apprehensive about renting here, because we knew nothing about the lake, the cabin, or the area. We contacted the owners and they were extremely helpful by sending us more pictures and answering many of our questions. We took our three grandkids, 9, 12 and 14 and their mother with us on vacation. We rented the pontoon which actually made our stay fabulous. The beach was sandy and the children were swimming every moment they weren't fishing. The large mouth bass were really biting and each one of us caught several each day, along with sunfish and bluegills. There was also a sandy beach on the close island that everyone enjoyed. The children caught turtles, minnows, and frogs and had a great time. The above activities, along with the kayaks and paddle boats kept the entire family entertained and busy for the entire stay. The cabin was very well furnished and comfortable. It had a large kitchen, and two separate "living areas" with two full couches, love seat and chairs which made it very nice. The air conditioning easily cooled the entire cabin. The fire circle was fabulous and was used every night. I would strongly suggest this place for any family looking for a vacation spot that will keep everyone busy and entertained. There is something for everyone, and it is a very pleasant place to vacation. We also found stores conveniently close so we could resupply groceries or other needs. Lastly, the owners who live next door were extremely helpful and friendly, but were careful not to interfere in any way. Our time spent at this cabin was wonderful in every way! I would strongly recommend it. We all had a great family time together and plan to go back next year!
Owner's reply: Thank you, we enjoyed having your family for a week.
Had a great time here. Had plenty to do. Fished off the dock everyday. Place was really nice and convenient for us as our daughter lives 16 miles from the lake house. Really enjoyed our stay there and looking forward to our next stay there in august. We had two paddle boats, a row boat and two kayaks available for our use. Owners are real nice and very accommodating. Would recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again for the pleasant stay at your lake house.
Great cottage and great location! Owners made sure we had everything we needed. Cottage is very nice! Close to many local attractions! Great owners! My family and I had a great time and will definitely go back!
“Labor Day weekend”
My family of 5 LOVED this cabin! We had so much fun kayaking, fishing, and swimming around the lake. My teenage boys caught frogs and minnows. My daughter played in the sand. Hubby and I sat by the fire for 2 nights. The cottage owners were very nice and offered help and good conversation. We didn't venture past 10 miles of the cottage; everything we needed was there. We brought our own boat, which we took to the beach and joyrides around the lake. Thank you for the great time!
“Nice vacation home”
The cabin was nice and clean. Had everything we needed. All towels, washcloths and linens were provided. It was nice having a washer and dryer too. Central location to everything we wanted to do but away from the city. The 2 bedrooms were perfect for us. It was my wife and daughter(6) and I.
Our family rented the cottage this summer and could not have been more happy. Our family enjoyed fishing, swimming and kayaking. The location is fantastic - short trips to visit lighthouses, dunes and Lake Michigan beaches. It was great to have a full cottage to end each day. Thank You Russ & Jill
We had a wonderful relaxing time. The beds are full size not queens as advertised. We had a firepit outside our cabin (Wren & Sparrow) away from the main area with a log swing, with wood supplied. The gas grill outside was clean and ready for use. We used the bikes and went for a ride on Friday morning. My son played his acoustic guitar under the stars during our bonfire. We also used two canoes and went around the lake. Only one other kayaker on the lake that morning. We were close enough to eat at Lefty & Romas, Northside Pub, breakfast at the Overboard Inn and stop by Meijer's for food. The owner Jeff Smith and his daughter's are very friendly and do a great job of keeping the property up, and Jeff enjoy's telling the history of the property, many photograpphs to look at. You will love this place for a couple or larger family or maybe a family reunion on the beautiful shores of Twin Lake. They can handle up to 50+ people. Canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and plenty of sand toys by the shore. Wish we would have brought our fishing poles. We live only a half hour away, but it was a nice long 3 day getaway, the usually rent by the week. And all vacation time comes to a fast stop and then you go home.
“Fall Get a Way”
My husband and I stayed here for the week. The place was very clean and updated. We enjoyed the fall colors. It was very relaxing.
