The house was everything and more than expected. The rooms were clean and well stocked with daily necessities. The outdoor space was relaxing and private, including the hot tub. It is located within walking distance to Frenchman and Bourbon St. I will definitely book a room here for my next trip as the owners were also very friendly.
Owner's reply: Hey Jennifer, We're so glad you all had a nice time. Thank you for taking a moment to review. We'd love to have you back anytime! Blue60
“Great Honeymoon Getaway!!”
My husband & I recently vacationed here for our honeymoon. It was a fantastic location, close to so many local attractions, & had great amenities. We especially enjoyed the hot tub this time of year! We will definitely go back to stay again & would recommend this place to anyone staying in New Orleans.
Owner's reply: Great Guests. could't ask for better guests.
“Great people to rent from!”
The owner and property manager really helped us out in figuring out how to pay and even tried their best to hold the reservation for us until we could do so. The property owner even called us after to make sure we didn't leave something that he thought we did. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous and lies just steps away from the French Quarter. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to see this part of New Orleans!
Owner's reply: Thank You
“Perfect for families or big groups!”
My family and I stayed at this gorgeous house for my 30th birthday. We ranged from 6 years old to 60 years old. We could not have picked a more perfect house with a good location. The house was so comfortable and relaxing. Trudy was a perfect host, providing everything you need. House is close to trolley that takes you right down Canal street. Lots of close bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would Definetly stay here again. Thanks so much!
I rented out the whole place for my bachelorette party and had 9 girls total. It was perfect and close to everything. Cabs are super cheap to get everywhere from the house. The owner was super nice and answered tons of questions for me. I would stay here again if I go back to NOLA!!!
A group of 6 guys came down for the Tulane vs. GT game and stayed at this property. Not only was the property in really good condition, but it was close enough to walk to EVERYTHING. The lively district of Frenchman St. was no more than 300 yards away from our front door, and Bourbon St. was only about a 10-15 minute walk. If you are looking for some of the "flavor" of New Orleans, you would be hard pressed to beat this home and location.
“Elysian Guest House”
We had a party of 10 people, age range of 28-36. We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday. The house was great!! Just a short walk right off the beating path of Bourbon St. David was a great host, everything was ready for us when we arrived. We had a pretty loud and rowdy group and we never had any issues or complaints from David. I would definitely recommend the Elysian Fields to other people who are interested in staying off the beating path. The house was clean, the beds were made and everything we needed was in the house. There was also a Walgreens right down the street for beer/alcohol which is rare in New Orleans. David also gave us a map of the area with suggestions on where to go. Thanks again for being a great host!
Two of us stayed in the Porch suite, though it could have easily fit 4. It suited our needs perfectly... friendly/knowledgeable Inn keeper, friendly neighbors... off the beaten path and definitely close enough to walk to Bourbon St, Decateur, the waterfront. Very close to Frenchman St which is a great artisan and live music area. Also next to a Daiquiri shop... I love those 'to go' cups!! Great place to stay.
“elysian fields guest house, new orleans”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very homey, yet classic and befitting the New Orleans style. The location was great, walking distance to the French Quarter and all the many sights to see near the French Quarter. We even cooked our Christmas dinner and found everything we needed to prepare our dinner. We rented the entire house.
Owner's reply: Thank you Nancy and Marvin!! Happy New Years!!
This place is incredible. We had 10 people, rented out the whole house for4 nights over New Year's Eve, and had a blast. The suites are great, the outdoor patio is great, the owner is super laid back. The house is right next to all the bars on Frenchman Street, and probably about a mile from Bourbon St, great location if you want to expand your horizons and wander the city outside the Quarter. Will definitely be back.
