Description of the New Orleans vacation home rental
Lovely historic three story mansion on a large corner lot shaded by a 200 year old oak. Home features six bedrooms 2 and 1/2 baths.

Located in the Historic Uptown/Carrollton area just two blocks off the STREETCAR line. Perfect for film professionals. Great for location shoots as well. It is a lovely place to stay while visiting New Orleans. The master bath is dated, but everything works well and there is a Jacuzzi tub! Large front and back yards suitable for crawfish boils.

Large open main floor with living room on one side and dining on the other side. COMMERCIAL chef's kitchen, rustic French style with Imperial commercial 6 eye stove/oven. The second floor features 4 bedrooms and one full bath. The third floor has 2 bedrooms and one full bath. Two laundry facilities on property (one on first and second floors for your easy access). This house can accommodate 15 people nicely in REAL beds. WIFI, cable TV, outdoor grill, fenced backyard. Everything you could need for an event, family gathering or filming. Anything in the fridge or cupboard is yours to use. Feel free to use whatever is there and leave anything you don't use.

Area Information
HIGHLY walkable area in a very safe neighborhood. Two blocks off the streetcar line, so anywhere in the city is accessible. 4 to 5 blocks to either Maple Street or Oak Street corridor which contains shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, etc..Walk to AUDUBON park, Tulane, and Audubon Place. Take the streetcar to the historic french quarter, convention center, superdome or to Jazzfest.

Why the Owner Chose Uptown-Carrollton:
Best area in town to not only GET TO everything (on streetcar line), but to GET away as well. So nice after a day of shopping on Magazine, Oak and Maple street or a day out in the french quarter to come home to such a lovely park like setting. This house has PLENTY of history and fantastic treetop views.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The oak tree in the front yard is majestic. The history of the house is amazing! We have had film industry professionals, families, film crews and events in this lovely home. The house is truly a wonderful happy place. The kitchen is FABULOUS, so if you enjoy cooking, the chef's kitchen will make you smile!
