Description of the New Orleans vacation apartment rental
It's a large studio with a double bed. It has it's own entrance, a separate kitchen and bathroom. It's the perfect size for a couple's getaway! The furniture is all new, the kitchen was redone in March of 2010, and everything is in great shape. The apartment has central heating and cooling and ceiling fans.

The flat is locatated in an absolutley perfect location! You can walk to literaly everything in the french quarter, and even over to Frenchman St. (gotta check it out!) Such a treat to be just a couple blocks from the St. Louis Cathedral, Pat O's, The Old Coffee Pot Gumbo, and Burbon St. Parking can be tight if you bring a car, make sure you read the parking signs! The flat is a cozy lil spot that will make you feel right at home. Located in a safe, residential block, that has a fun atmosphere. Truly one of many lagniappe's while staying in the Big Easy! MY Suggestion: Stay at Bronwen's flat for a week or so, get a New Orleans Power Pass, Eat at the Old Coffee Pot Gumbo, go to Frenchmen St, and HAVE FUN :) We most definatly will be back!

Don't want to repeat the other reviews too much. The apartment feels like home. It's very close to everything you'll want to check out in NOLA. It is noisy outside in the street most of the time. You can hear jazz music coming from Bourbun Street on most nights. To us this was an extra bonus! The place was clean. The neighbours were nice. Will recommend to family and friends who come to visit!

We stayed at Bronwen's apartment for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it! It is ideally located just one street North of Bourbon so you're right in the heart of all the action! Just up the street from Preservation Hall where you can hear some of the best Jazz New Orleans has to offer, Pat O'Brians where you must try the Hurricane and a 5 minute walk to Cafe du Monde! The apartment was beautiful and cozy, we highly recommend staying here!

Great location in the French Quarter

You will not find a better location in the French Quarter. I rented this apartment for a 10 day vacation. The apartment itself met my needs and was as advertised. It is spacious for a studio and has a fully equiped kitchen. It is near Bourbon and Jackson Square and very near Louis Armstrong Park. It can get loud at night, but, all of the quarter is that way. You can easily walk to Canal Street and hop on the St. Charles street car line. Riverwalk Mall, Shops at Canal Street, and the Aquarium of the Americas are within walking distance. The owner is very easy to deal with and was in contact with me at multiple points both before and during my trip. I would certainly contact this owner again about renting this apartment again. I would highly recommend this property and owner.

Bronwen's little flat in the heart of the French Quarter was the perfect place to stay in NOLA. Like other reviewers I can't say enough about how great this lovely, comfortable, well furnished, bright and welcoming flat is! The front stoop is a great place to people-watch (the corner is a hotbed of lively action) and chat with neighbours. Since it is situated one block from Bourbon it certainly gets noisy, so bring your earplugs. Everything (literally, everything) is within walking distance and it's such a great city to wander and explore different neighbourhoods. We were in NOLA for the Jazz Festival and walked to the Fair Grounds from our home-away-from-home as an alternative to the convenient streetcar (it's about 3.5 miles). Bronwen was extremely accommodating and very gracious - a wonderful hostess. She thought of everything: the kitchen was fully equipped, the powder room too. Most importantly, this place is CLEAN. I have already recommended this place to friends and family and would not hesitate to stay here again.

I've never booked an apartment rental before so I was a bit uneasy up until we actually arrived (those craiglist scams are scary!) but boy, we were glad we booked this. The keys didn't arrive until 2 days before we left but Bronwen was great about finding an alternative in case they didn't show up. Trying not to repeat what the previous reviewers said; Ill just say I vouch for everything they said. The bar across the street is only open on the weekends so it's fairly calm if you're staying during the week. Only thing to watch out for, if this bothers you, is that the patrons from that bar sometimes come and sit on the stoop. You can tell them to leave or ask the bouncers to tell them for you. Sitting on the stoop is one of the perks of this place! We talked to a lot of people from there, met the neighbours, saw some action. The noise level from Bourbon isn't so bad. It's mostly just drunk people walking by, they don't stand in the corner and make noise all night. Also, if you're used to not so bright apartments in the morning (I have black-out curtains at home) then bring an eye cover. The brightness will wake you up nice & early although this is a good thing as you don't want to be sleeping when there's so much to do on the town! Oh, the shower pressure also kinda sucks but it's definitely not a deal breaker. I highly recommend this place.

I can't say enough great things about this sunny, bright, and charming unit. Part of me wants to be selfish and say, "It was horrible! Don't stay here!" in the hopes that it will be available whenever I wanted but that would be just plain evil! It was perfect a spot! Sure, it can get a bit noisy at night due to its proximity to Bourbon Street, but that's the only issue I could see anyone having. Nothing a pair of earplugs couldn't remedy. You didn't come to NOLA to sleep anyway, did you? I loved staying here. It was walking distance to just about everything in the Quarter. And it was fun to sit on the stoop, drinking coffee and people watching. I had some great conversations with passers-by that really added to the NOLA experience. The unit has every ammenity you can think of, even a Wii! Bronwen has so tastefully furnished the place, it really has a romantic, old school parlour feel to it. The pictures honestly don't do it justice and I already thought it looked great from the pictures. When I arrived, I had the biggest smile on my face because I was so happy with my choice. Bronwen is also a very accomodating and gracious host. She answered every question I had in a timely manner and offered up great suggestions on things to do or places to go for necessities i.e. laundry and groceries. I plan on renting this unit every time I come visit, I loved it so much. If you need a place for just yourself or a couple of people, this would be perfect. Thanks for everything, Bronwen!

My husband and I chose to stay at the above location during the week of the French Quarters Festival. From my initial contact with the owner throughout our stay, she was very pleasant and assisted us with valuable information for this couple that knew very little about New Orleans. The apartment is quite comfortable the bed, pillows, and couch. The kitchen was also equipped with all the kitchen tools which made us feel like we were home. The windows in the living room area provided alot of sunlight. However, the apartment is situated on the corner and during the nights it was a little noisy with motorcycles drivers and patrons from the bars walking adjacent to the apartment, but that is something that will happen when your so close to all the excitment of Bourbon St. We were able to walk around the city and every restaurant, gallery, and museum seemed like it was only a few steps away. I would recommend this location to friends and family, as this location is great for one that would love to enjoy the festivities at an unbeatable price.

Nicely furnished with equipped kitchen in a terrific location in the Quarter. Only downside is that it can be quite noisy as it is only a block from Bourbon. Owner is very professional and accommodating. Highly recommended!

I'm a transplanted New Orleans local who returned to town on business. I stayed in this unit for about a week and a half. If you are in town to enjoy French Quarter night life, this unit is absolutely perfect. As a local I can vouch for the fact that it's right in the heart of the French Quarter, a block off a lively section of Bourbon Street and super-close to pretty much everything the quarter has to offer. PROS: * space-owner is super cool and very easy to deal with * unbeatable for the money * shower has excellent water pressure/temp * full kitchen * bed is very comfortable memory foam and couch is quite comfortable to sleep on * lots of windows to watch the hustle and bustle of the quarter * you can be getting drunk on Bourbon in under a minute (if that's what you're into) * lots of good books CONS *easy free parking is hit or miss but it's always out there *On 30-40 degree nights, all the windows can make it drafty (but the heat is great and there are lots of fans - you just have to finesse it) Overall, perfect for a group of one, two, or two and a couple.
