“Awesome place and inn keeper”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2015

Great little place that slept us all comfortably. It was in a very cool location and the house was an awesome really old place. The Inn Keeper, Norine, was awesome, sweet and very helpful. My entire family loved the place, which was separated in 3 units, which was perfect for those with young children to isolate themselves from those without.

Owner's reply: Hi Nassif -- thank you so much for your comments -- we loved having your family (and pooch too!). Thank you for handling the heat with your cool charm. Come again soon ... Norine & Dayna

“Loved this place!”

Will definitely rent this cottage again! We came for my bachelorette party and this chateau/ cottage could not have been better! Super cozy and well decorated. We felt incredibly safe the entire weekend. Walking distance to many of the staples of New Orleans. Extra bonus is The Ruby Slipper is a phenomenal brunch spot right a block down that we could not get enough of!

Owner's reply: Hello Crimson Tide ! We enjoyed having you ladies and are so happy you had a wonderful time together. Come again soon y'all!

“Location, Location, Location”

There were 5 of us staying in the three suites of the Creole Cottage. The cottage is exactly as described - cozy and charming, reflecting the culture and character of the city. In the units, the wall air conditioners kept the rooms cool. The free laundry and filtered water were a bonus! We were given parking passes for our cars which allowed us to park right outside the cottage - so convenient - though we rarely needed the cars as most everything is within walking distance. From the cottage to the far end of the French Quarter is just over one mile. Frenchman Street, with its jazz, art and restaurants, it literally right around the corner, and should not be missed. Horn's is a popular restaurant just across the street, and The Ruby Slipper is a short walk down the block. Dayna was wonderful to work with - she quickly answered every email I sent. While we were there, Norine, her daughter, stayed in the main house behind the cottages. She was available to help us in every way, yet she gave us our space otherwise. We loved our stay in New Orleans and only wish it could have been longer. Our only complaint would be about the wifi. It's very difficult to get the internet inside the cottage suites. We had our best luck out on the patio close to the main house. Thank you Dayna for a great stay! We hope to return again!

Owner's reply: Hello Trish, Thank you so much for your thorough review. I really enjoyed meeting you over email and I am happy that everything worked out for you and your family. Norine is just getting used to running things on her own and I am grateful that you were pleased with her service. I apologize that she did not advise you of the wireless booster in the laundry room ... it boosts the signal to the cottage and but requires an additional log in. Thank you again for your stay. Dayna & Norine.

“Great Historic Clean House”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2014

The cottage was great, there was seven of us amongst the three rooms. Each group had their own room. Dayna was a great hostess. She actually cared that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed during our stay. We truly enjoyed staying here and it was within walking distance to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. I would definitely recommend this cottage to my family and friends and if I return to New Orleans, you know where I will be staying. The cottage is old, built in 1805, but historic. Like I stated earlier it was very clean. Also, I felt extremely safe here. It was very quiet. The price for the week was VERY reasonable. Also, there are great accomodations such as a kitchen, washer and dryer along with a water cooler all inclusive of the price. We truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you again for everything, Dayna.

Owner's reply: Hello Mandy -- I really enjoyed having you. I learned so much about Wrestlemania I may even go myself. Thank you again for your stay, Dayna
