Located only 55 miles northeast of Orlando, it serves as a favorite get-a-way destination for many Central Florida residents and has garnered significant notoriety as a surfing destination, often hosting American Surfing Professionals ' competitions.
Through the years, the City of New Smyrna Beach has maintained tight controls on growth, resulting in a limited number of low-rise condominiums being constructed. The City has also held strict parameter on beach traffic which, in addition to protecting beach goers, simultaneously protects nesting sea turtles.
It is a nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles, and Florida 's loggerhead population is the largest in the nation, second only, internationally, to Masirah Island, Oman, in the Middle East.
These tight controls have continued to maintain the beach 's quaint and natural feel. It serves as a gateway to the historic and picturesque Indian River Intracoastal Waterway. Prime fishing locations also exist at places such as Mosquito Lagoon, just south of New Smyrna. This 21.5 mile long, 3.5 mile wide lagoon is one of the southeast 's most abundant fishing areas and contains redfish, flounder, black grouper, and speckled trout, just to name a few.

Reviews for this vacation condo rental in New Smyrna Beach, Florida
John Kenneth Jacquemain
March 30, 2015
This unit is relatively large, with sufficient closet space. The kitchen though small was well equipped. The condo is bordered by the laundry, elevator and parking, all of which were a source of considerable noise. The unit is at the back of the complex closest to the road another source of noise. The only view from the place is of the parking lot. Although relatively clean the unit felt damp and towels seem to take forever to dry, as there seemed to be no air flow. Lovely beach, two very nice pools, and lovely deck overlooking beach..
John, thank you for taking the time to write a review of our beach condo. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed Sea Coast Gardens' pools, large sundeck, and beautiful beach views. Since this condo is convenient to parking, elevator, and laundry room, there will be some associated noise. We will make a note to check the A/C at this property to make sure that it is working properly. We hope you will call again when it's time to plan your next trip to New Smyrna. We would love to host you again.
A Winter Get-Away
January 26, 2015
Took a short winter visit just to get away. Found the area delightful and the property in very good condition. It took us most of the week to get comfortable and the time was over. Yes we would do it again, next time maybe move up stairs for a better view.
Thank you for your review, Doug. We're happy to hear that you found the unit in good condition and that you loved the area of New Smyrna. We think it's a wonderful beach town, too. Some guests love the easy beach and pool access of the first floor unit. Sounds like your family may prefer a 3rd to 5th floor unit. You know how to reach us, when you're ready to visit again. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback.
Great place to stay
October 7, 2014
Very clean and well kept. A very quiet and peaceful place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend Sea Coast Gardens to others. Will definitely book again.
Thank you so much for your help with our stay! I appreciate your patience along with your extra attention to reviewing my rates for the possibility of a return guest discount. We enjoyed our experience last year so much that we decided to return this year (without the pets!). It was also so nice to deal with you again. Just nice to be familiar with the person you're dealing with when dealing with things online. Thanks again so much.
