“An unforgettable experience”

Reviewed 20 Jan 2015

The house is simply amazing! The rooms are very big and it is equiped with everything a family needs! I travelled with my family and we stayed in nine people in the house. It was simply the best place we could have imagined. The rooms are wide and everybody felt very comfortable. The internet is a little unstable, but I supose it was the amount of people and gadgets. It is very close to the subway, in the neighborhood everybody is very simpathetic and there are several stores and markets nearby. The house is very clean and organized and the hostess is very sweet. Everything worked perfectly and we will certainly go back! You can feel the good vibes once you are there. This house made our experience in NYC even better and impossible to forget!!!

Owner's reply: Hi Carol I am so happy you enjoyed your stay! We'd love to see you back. Cheers Razia

“How to make Harlem beautiful”

Reviewed 7 Dec 2010

Just want everyone to know this was a great location. We used the subway to get everywhere. Huge place to stay in, we had 5 girls and 3 guys and never had issues with getting ready in the morning as everyone had their own room and we 2 full bathrooms showering became easy. thanks

“spacious, roomy apartment”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2010

This was a great apartment to stay in during our stay in NYC. The bedrooms are huge, the living room spacious with a wonderful deck off of it. This apartment was near the subway and it seemed about 20 minutes from Times Square. The owner lives downstairs and is very helpful and pleasant.

“West Harlem Duplex”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2010

This is a big, airy, comfortable, artistic, convenient, well-equipped 4 bedroom unit on a safe, friendly street where we always found parking. The owner is helpful, available, and keeps a stock of pamphlets and brochures on NYC activities and sights on the coffee table. The place is centrally located, being about 7 - 8 blocks from Central Park to the south, the Apollo Theater to the north, and Columbia to the west, and FDR Drive to the east, and two blocks from the 116th Subway Station. The wonderful Best Yet Market is 3 blocks away, right next to a Starbuck's. Feels like home.

“Ideal place for a large family”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2010

The property was ideal for what i wanted during our stay in NYC.The only dissapointment was the hidden extras that i was told of after we arrived. On booking the holiday the owner could only offer me six days in the upstairs of the property but then she came up with the offer of spending the last night of our stay in her own home and to get the booking she said that i could have 10% discount for the hassle of having to move downstairs for the last night.when we arrived we all felt very unwelcome as she was more concerned about her house party than she was about us, we were just pointed upstairs and told she would see us sometime tomorrow. When we got upstairs we hoped that there would have been some refreshments for us because on the website the refridgerater is supposedly"full"but there wasnt even a jar of coffee or a cookie. The invoice for the rest of the stay had an extra $100 dollars added for cleaning,on my return home i visited the website and found that everything was included when i emailed Razia she said that i had 10% knocked of my bill so cleaning was added beacause i had not paid the full amount.I was also informed that i should have paid another $100 because we did not leave till 3pm but nothing was mentioned when i emailed our arrival and departure times. There was also a querie about us leaving a few items in her fridge but my daughter said she would put them in the bin but Razia said it was ok and she would sort it.I have emailed her but she has not yet replied.

Bonjour Razia,

Encore merci

JMarc

Dear Razia,

You told me in an earlier email that we would have the best celebration in your apartment. You were so so so right. I cannot thank you enough. Thank you so so so much.

Your apartment is just beautiful - it emanates love and fun and warmth and we all love it and are so comfortable. I hadn't realised it is your own home and we just think it is amazing of you to lend it to us. We are, indeed, having the very best time.

We have just finished a hot Christmas dinner - we usually have cold turkey and ham with salads at home in Australia. Our children are all playing silly card games with their music playing and having such fun together. Now that they are 21, 23, 26 and 27 and the 26 year old lives in Perth (2000 miles from us in Melbourne) it is hard to get them all together. The two partners seem to fit into the family very well and it is just the happiest feeling to watch them all having fun together.

May your Christmas have been as happy as ours and may your 2010 be a very special year for you and yours.

With very best wishes,

Jenny Dawes.

The clients said that their trip to NY was a real success and "one important reason for this was the apartment we rented through NYH". As they were a large group, they appreciated being able to gather in the mornings and evenings for planning and for sharing experiences. They appreciated the spaciousness and comfort of the apartment. They also found it well equipped and stylish. They said you were very friendly and relaxed. They appreciated your helpfulness and the information you gave them. The local environment in Harlem also added to their positive experience.

Dear Yolaine,

the 130W 118th St apartment we stayed in was excellent! Not only it was very
clean and equipped with every comfort spanning from the laundry machine to
the DVD player, internet connection and air conditioning, but it's furnished
and decorated with very good taste, and the cream of the crop is the
comfortable cozy terrace where you can have breakfast or dine or simply
relax in the tranquillity of a green backyard! Last but not the least it's
in a quiet area and absolutely close to a big supermarket, convenience shops
and subway! I would absolutely recommend it to your customers!

Best regards, Giuseppe
