“Home Base IN NYC”
Irina and Laura are fantastic hosts! They sent instructions, prior to our arrival, so access was not an issue. Their apt. situated in a quiet street right just a short walk from Penn Station and the Underground. We always felt safe walking the neighborhood. A large Supermarket just around the corner to stock up on drinks, snacks and breakfast items. So easy to go up or down town to all the sights NYC has. Our hosts had the super attend to a minor tap issue in a very timely fashion. Do yourself a favor and have dinner at RIKO the Peruvian restaurant nearby. Great Food. The apartment was well appointed with everything you could need. The bed was large and comfy. It lived up to the description and our expectations. We look forward to returning on our next visit to NYC. Thank you, Laura and Irina, for your hospitality. Geoff & Chris
“Amazing location, amazing price!”
We can't wait to stay here again. The apartment was perfect for our stay. We've already passed on the information about this place to some friends who are always looking for a better option than hotels when staying in Manhattan. We will be back!!! 2-1/2 hour train ride from Albany and a 5 minute walk! Nothing could beat it!
“Lovely, spacious, safe and centrally located apt”
We stayed in this fantastic apartment for a week in June and would definitely stay here again. It is in a modern apartment block with secure entry and in a centrally located area very close to subways. The photos are accurate and for New York it is spacious- good sized bedroom with king bed and a large lounge area with 2 sofa beds. The accomodation was perfect for us and our 2 adult children. I think it might be a little cramped with 7 people in it but I guess if you are out most of the time it would be fine. The weather was warm when we were there so really appreciated having air conditioning at times. There was plenty of sheets, towels and blankets. There is a kitchen area with full size cooker and oven although we didn't use it much apart from having breakfast in some days. The kitchen seemed well equipped although would benefit from a couple of sharp knives to cut fruit ( a minor issue and certainly didn't impact on our stay!) There is a good supermarket nearby that has great fruit, rolls and everything you will need. The owners were great to deal with - all communication was clear and fast and any questions we had were quickly answered. Prior to booking we looked at a huge number of apartments and hotels in Manhatten trying to get the " right " place to stay - this ticked all the boxes and we would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Owner's reply: Dear Caroline, Thanks for the wonderful review, for enjoying our accommodations! To bring your comments to the "5 stars level" may I add that we took into consideration your concern and sharpened the knives. All the best, come again!
“New York adventure”
This place was nice to stay at, truly a home away from home. My family and i stayed here for our week vacation in the city. It was a great location, Close to busses and subways in a safe neighborhood. Lots of fun! And the ladies made it easy to book and answrred all my questions. I recommend this place to stay at!
“Quiet and secure”
This was my 3 friends and my first time to NYC.This apartment was perfect for our needs. We took the subway and walked everywhere. The apartment is in a secure building that is quiet. The place was very clean and well equipped for all our needs.Laura and Irina were very easy to work with.We made breakfast and coffee each morning which helped cut costs.I read reviews on hundreds of places before picking this apartment and I'm so glad that I chose this one.
Owner's reply: Please, come again - we will always be ready to have you as our guests
“Stylish and well-located apartment”
Great location, close to major attractions (few minutes from the Empire State Building), clean, well-equipped and nicely decorated apartment. Owners were friendly and helpful and everything was exactly as described. We particularly enjoyed the close proximity to the Chelsea High Line, and made much use of the charming Chelsea Market. The great thing about staying in an apartment (as opposed to hotels) is the space, privacy, and ability to do your own thing, and this place was ideal. Would wholeheartedly recommend it (and will probably be back).
We enjoyed out stay in this property. It was very convenient to Penn Station and Subways which was very helpful. It is a large 1 bedroom property -- Our party of six were comfortable. Two living room sofas convert for sleeping - surprisingly comfortable. The owner was excellent at follow-up and VERY ACCOMMODATING. There were plenty of towels and sheets. To enhance the property further, I would suggest updating the master bed spread and repair the side table in the bedroom. By no means were these show stoppers. I would stay in the property again. We were planning to attend the Thanksgiving parade and were trying to track down some chairs. Alex, who maintains the apartment, generously brought us a couple of his own chairs. Overall -- great people to work with!
Owner's reply: Dear Sherry, we were glad to have your party as our guests. We are happy to know that you liked our place and are willing to stay at our apartment again. Our bedspread was at the dry cleaners, that was the reason why we had to put a previous one in the bedroom. We didn't know there was a problem with the bedside drawer - we are addressing the issue momentarily Please, do come again and enjoy visiting Big Apple and staying at our cozy place
“Well-appointed, comfortable Chelsea apt”
Irina and Laura are fantastic hosts! They sent *detailed* instructions, previous to our arrival, to ensure a smooth landing. Their apt. situated a a quiet street right in the middle of where we needed to be - Broadway shows, shopping, Times Square, 9/11 Memorial, ext. - with EASY access to trains to zip us uptown to Central Park and The Guggenhiem! We were thrilled to see that The High Line (one of our favorite places to visit) was only two blocks from this lovely apt! After having dinner at Blossom, we walked over to the High Line for an evening stroll before walking "home". The High Line is beautiful at night! We were suprised to find chocolates awaiting us back at the apt! Nice touch!! We discovered a wonderful Peruvian restaurant just around the corner, Riko. Do your tummy a favor and check it out :-) We loved sleeping with the wondows open - the cool air and white noise of the city below was wonderfully relaxing! The apt. overlooks courts and rooftop patios. If you stick your head out the window, you have a wonderful view of Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Bld. We were thrilled to discover this apt. and we look forward to returning again!! Thank you, Laura and Irina, for your hospitality!! Doug, Kathleen and family
We were a party of 7 women aged 81 - 26. The apartment had everything we needed - although the single fold up bed could should be reserved for a child. It was well maintained and located a short walk to a main subway transportation. Would recommend to anyone looking to sight see in New York City!
“We loved this apartment!”
Right from our first inquiry, Laura and Irina were wonderful and quick to respond to questions and concerns. The apartment itself was exactly as pictured and worked well enough for our group of 5. It was well-stocked with whatever things we needed (aside from food, of course) and we were quite comfortable. The location was perfect and in short walking distance of the High Line and Javits Center, which was great for the purpose of our trip: New York Comic Con. There are also a couple of small grocery/cafe stores conveniently right beside the building, which made it easy for quick food runs. We will definitely contact Laura and Irina again for future NYC visits.
Owner's reply: Dear Laura, we are delighted to hear that you have enjoyed your stay. We were very pleased to give you back $180 that you thought were the part of your balance. We are sure it went to a good cause - maybe a nice family dinner. PLEASE, come again - NYC is an exciting place to visit. We will be expecting you!!!

Every great thing you read in these reviews is true. Laura and Irina made our trip to NYC absolutely perfect. The location is amazing. The building is clean, and the concierge staff so friendly and helpful. The laundry room is immaculate. The rooftop terrace was being remodeled with all new tiling and furniture, but we were able to enjoy the view...outstanding addition. The apartment was so clean and well furnished. The convertible beds are so comfortable. When we had a question, Irina was always available to answer our needs. I can't say enough about how happy we were in this rental, and we will definitely come back.
