You can save time by planning your trips ahead of time.

You won't go hungry in NYC. There are street vendors on every corner, restaurants are open almost 24 hours, and there's always the fall back of a slice of pizza. You can't turn your head without seeing an offer for food. You'll be so busy, that sometimes sitting down for a full meal might be seen as a road block to your bustling time in Midtown. Whether you like sushi, Mexican, Asian fusion cuisine or just subsist on milkshakes, you'll be fine eating in Midtown. Don't miss out on some of the best bagels in America for breakfast, or some award-winning pizza.

Attractions

Manhattan offers some of the best attractions in New York City. Visiting families should immediately take a trip to the famous Central Park. This 843-acre park draws millions of tourists each year and features beautiful scenic pathways and a place for ice-skating in the winter. No trip to NYC is complete without a visit to the Empire State Building! At 1,454 feet tall, the Empire State Building is one of the most impressive structures in the world.
For history-loving families, Manhattan offers some of the most amazing museums in in existence. The American Museum of Natural History is the perfect place to view actual dinosaur specimens, like the deinonychus. At the Metropolitan Museum of Art, spend some time checking out more than two million works of art from countless eras. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is a wonderful place to see works by Picasso, Manet, and many more.

Events

Manhattan visitors might want to take note of some of the interesting events and festivals happening each year. In June, the Museum Mile Festival invites visitors to check out 10 museums for free! The Guggenheim, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the National Design Museum are all participants. For families visiting in November, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a must-see. An annual tradition since 1924, this celebration seems to get bigger each year. Mostly though, there is an incredible amount of activities happening every single day, so traveling to Manhattan for one specific event is not necessary.
