A serene and peaceful escape!
Left on 02/28/2013 for a stay in February 2013

Whitby Beach in North Caicos has to be on of the best places to visit. North Caicos could quite possibly be a very well-kept secret as well. My husband and I have returned to Whitby Beach for the second time. We love that there are stretches of beach to walk, run, and explore and you may never bump into one other person.

Karen is one of the best hosts we have ever come across. She was extremely helpful and concerned about our well being from the moment the reservation was made. Karen assisted us with groceries, transportation to and from airport/ferry/villa. We hardly worried about a thing. It is also a bonus that Karen owns and operates the best restaurant on the North Caicos, The Silver Palm. We were able to enjoy many meals there and share some laughs. She welcomes guests with opens arms and some really delicious rum punch to boot!

The villa itself is very clean, airy and the view from the balcony is wonderful. Whales passed by while we were there and you can see out to the reef and watch the Conch fisherman dive as well, which is neat. We didn't find that there was one thing that we were wishing we had while we stayed here, the villa supplied us with everything, plenty of towels, wifi, games for rainy days, and even a local cell phone to help with making reservations and communication if needed.

We highly recommend staying here when you need to escape, to relax and enjoy peace and quiet in a lovely surrounding.

We spent most of our time on the wonderful balcony with a view of the beach and water and whales! A short walk to the beach with great swimming, walking and searching for shells The suite is very comfortable and Karen will help you with whatever you need.

Excellent accommodation!!
We were the first guests to stay in the apartment. It was spotlessly clean; everything was brand new. The two-bedroom apartment was fairly basic but completely comfortable and perfectly adequate in every way. We were 'self-catering' for some of our meals and found everything we needed to function in the kitchen - but enjoyed all of our meals on the balcony.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. This is avery quiet location (which suited us perfectly) with the most amazing stretch of beach we have ever had to pleasure of walking -- endlessly.

Karen was a perfect 'host' assisting us with pre-arrival details & arrangements, during our stay helping with bookings, car rentals, etc. and at her restaurant (Sliver Palm) - where the food was absolutely scrumptious. Karen managed special diet concerns flawlessly. What a treat while travelling!

We've already referred friends and we'll be back again.

Views, beaches, breezes and so much more...

When our flight from Provo was canceled at the end of our vacation we found ourselves stranded. Our immediate reaction was to call Karen Preikschat whom we knew from prior visits to the island. Without a moment's hesitation
Karen confirmed our stay at Cedar Palms and arranged our transportation from
the ferry. Poach picked us up at 5:30P.M. (it had been a long day) , dropped me off at the condo
and took my friend to get a rental car he had ready for us. Before even entering our unit we were greeted by the fabulous view of the
ocean, just steps from our door. Outside on the balcony were a table and
chairs for dining and lounge chairs for reading, relaxing, napping or just
sitting and taking in the view.
This was amazing considering Karen had only about
a few hours notice that we were coming.

The unit was well appointed with modern furnishings and décor. The kitchen
provided all that you would need for chilling a bottle of wine or preparing
a complete dinner. The bedrooms were large with more than ample storage
space. What truly stood out about this rental was the cleanliness and attention to
There was a pre paid cell phone, candles, and flashlight. The unit even had satellite TV.
The accommodations were so comfortable we decided to spend an extra few days.
On our second day we had no hot water. One call to Karen and a plumber was there within 30 minutes and the problem was fixed.
...and it was a Sunday.
You can't ask for more.
We highly recommend you check out Cedar Palm Suites on North Caicos.
Karen and Poach will take great care of you.

Paradise Found
Awesome 10 days. Lovely comfortable 2 bedroom apartment with everything in tip top shape. Our accomodations located on a spectacular beach...10kms of unspoiled white sand & aqua ocean with a covered balcony overlooking the beach. We felt like we had our own private tour guide and concierge rolled into one with Karen. Thanks Karen for taking such good care of us. Karen managed all logisitics for our travel once we reached Provo & continued to suggest and arrange activities for us during our stay. We arranged to have dinner at the Silver Palm restaurant most evenings (and for several breakfasts & lunches too) and the food was absolutely outstanding! We loved our moon lit stroll down the beach to our dinners and Karen even offered to drive us back to our place if we preferred! We found both visitors and full time residents very friendly. This is truly a beautiful quiet island retreat & we plan on returning. When we do, it will definitely be back to the same spot if Karen is managing it.
