While on vacation in Franklin, you’ll want to check for events that take place nearby. Visit at the beginning of April and celebrate the Appalachian Trail during Franklin’s April Fool’s Trail Days and Hiker Bash. During this event, hikers enjoy a respite from the cold and wet weather on the trail while taking part in the festive atmosphere. There is great entertainment, local food vendors, and a variety of booths that feature the latest in outdoor gear.

The summer months boast a number of unique events that kick off with the annual Taste of Scotland in June. This street festival features games, dancing, food, and other authentic Scottish entertainment. In July, enjoy a celebration of Appalachian culture and heritage during the Annual Franklin Folk Festival.
