Description of the North Hollywood vacation home rental
Charming, peaceful 2 bedroom house is an easy walk to NoHo Arts District theaters and restaurants. Enjoy garage parking and a private back patio. Walk to the Red Line subway to go Downtown and Hollywood; 10 min. drive to Universal or Warner Brothers Studios.

Enjoy your stay in our 1940's vintage house. Bright and cheerful, the light streams into the dining area through the french doors and bay window. Enjoy the original fine art on the walls. House is 930 sq ft. There is a front and back yard and garage. You will not share the house; entire house is being rented out.

There are two Queen beds and there is art-deco era wood furniture in the bedrooms. Closets and dressers are fully available to you, so you can unpack those suitcases right away and settle in. Decor and useable items range from cheap to very high quality. So, you will need to apply some TLC and watch your little ones.

There are hardwood floors and throw rugs throughout the house. The living room has a large down filled couch that is comfortable and very deep from front to back. It is 6'6" long, so an adult can comfortably sleep on it.

There is a small rolling computer desk in the living room with empty file cabinet. Wireless and flat screen television MONITOR to stream programs from your computer (no cable).

The kitchen is equipped for cooking including dishes, pots and pans, fryer, wok, cooking knives and cutlery. We have a stove and a toaster oven, microwave oven, french press, tea kettle. We ask that you compost (no garbage disposal unit). We stock teas, coffee and spices. Dining area seats four.

The old timey bathroom has penny round tiles, a pedestal sink, and combo shower/bath. We stock shampoo, soap, and conditioner. We supply quality towels, sheets and comforters. Blow dryer on premises.

There are orange trees and California native plants in the front and back yards and a secluded back patio with cafe furniture and a large umbrella over the table so you can eat in the shade. Our gardener keeps the yards in good shape year-round.

The home has been upgraded with new electrical and plumbing and it has a brand new roof. There is floor furnace heating, which keeps the place very warm. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. There are ceiling fans in the two bedrooms and window air ac units in the 2 bedrooms. There is one 12btu window unit in the living room in the summer months.

House and front yard are NON smoking areas. You can smoke on the flagstone patio in the back yard.

We have enjoyed hosting our wonderful guests: families, film professionals, and vacationers. Thank you for having a look!

Area Information
This house is on the corner, and is adjacent to only one other house. It is private and quiet. There isn't any odd noise like the neighbor throwing basketball hoops or a drummer practicing. The quiet couple next door have two small dogs. You will hear one of them bark randomly through the day or when you go in the back door. He doesn't sound happy. That dog is about 25 feet away. This does not seem to go on at night; my guests report sleeping well.

The house is a block south of a boulevard;there is the hum of traffic in the background. It is a residential area. It is not in the middle of a metro area, so it is quiet. The neighborhood has residential homes and apartment buildings, but you won't hear the sounds of apartment living, since the apartments are not right next to this house. The police department is two blocks away. I would call this a working class area, that has quite a number of involved neighbors looking out for each other.

Security doors are on the back and front door. Old fashioned French doors in the back lock but no bars on them. Gates to the yard all lock. Garage has an electronic opener (of course). Room for one car, but not a giant SUV, sorry.
