Antique Cape house in historic Pond Village in North Truro, just a 5-minute walk (0.3 miles) from beautiful Cold Storage beach on the bay side and a 5-minute drive (1.5 miles) from Coast Guard beach - which you can get to without having to get on Rt. 6 - or Head of the Meadow beaches on the ocean side. Longnook beach with its majestic dunes is a 9-minute drive away.
Light and breezy, this 3-bed, 1-bath house sleeps up to 6. Have breakfast in the shade of the grape arbor on the quiet back patio, and at night enjoy your barbecued dinner under the lights! After a day at the beach, come home and rinse off in the outdoor shower. Sit on the front porch and read a book with a glass of wine or play a board game with your family.
The location is ideal – if you wanted to, you could spend your entire time here without getting in the car! Not only are you mere minutes from the bay and ocean, it is a short walk (2-mins) to local eatery Captain's Choice and Salty Market (formerly known as Dutra’s), where you can buy liquor and groceries - and sandwiches when you don’t feel like making your own; the Truro Beach Office, where you pick up your beach sticker; and Chequessett Chocolate, which has delicious sweets and excellent coffee.
Local favorites Savory Pizza Grill & Sweet Escapes, Box Lunch and Hillside Farms are a short, 3-min. drive away, as are restaurants Terra Luna, and Montano’s.
Provincetown and Wellfleet are only 10 minutes by car in either direction! If you want to head to Provincetown for a heady night out without having to worry about driving, the Flex shuttle stop is only a 5-minute walk down the road. You can't beat this location!
If you play golf, Highland Links Golf Course, sited by historic Highland Lighthouse, is a 5-minute drive away (also accessible without having to get on Rt. 6). If you're curious about a little bit of Truro history, while you're there you can stop by the Truro Historical Society.
We bought the house in the spring of 2014 and in fixing it up, have maintained all the antique character we can while adding modern amenities. The upstairs ceiling is approx. 6'3".

“Perfect Cape Vacation”
We spent a lovely 3/4 of a week in this lovely, beautifully appointed home. Everything you need is there, and the grapevine-covered back patio was special. Started every morning there with a cup of coffee -- wonderful.
We just finished our trip, loved the house, the location, the outdoor shower, the well-equipped kitchen, great collections of books, and the old-house charm. No AC, but the exchange-air fans, front porch, and back patio made even hot days and hot times of day bearable. Rosy was helpful and generous with her time, suggestions, and solutions to some distance-travel complications--we are from the SF Bay Area--we'll be back!
Owner Supplied Testimonials
Jonathan and Rosy did an incredible job of making their charmingly furnished home welcoming and filled with everything you would need for a relaxing getaway - a well stocked kitchen, smoker and grill, hammock, outdoor shower, personal library and HBO! My friend and I stayed for 3 full days exploring the beautiful local beaches (Longnook being a favorite) cooked dinners at the house and watched the incredible sunsets at Cold Storage Beach, only a 5 minute walk away. Their thoughtful welcome binder covers everything you would need to know and provides great recommendations. This was my first visit to Truro and would definitely come back to this lovely home.

We spent a great week in this lovely, well equipped, and comfortable house. Our days featured lots of time on the ocean and bay beaches which were both incredibly close, and, on the couple of rainy days, we played board games and watched movies. The house was very well equipped and there was nothing much we needed that we couldn't get easily at the little store in North Truro. The town is very quiet and perfect for R&R. There are so many charming details in this house. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for an extra-long weekend and had the most wonderful time. The house is just a few minute walk from a beautiful bayside beach and a few great shops including a general store/cafe and a fantastic chocolate shop! We did the quick drive into Provincetown one night for dinner, but stayed in and cooked in the big kitchen every other night. The house has a cozy, classic Cape Cod feel, but the owners have clearly updated everything where it counts. The kitchen was spacious and very well-stocked, the master bedroom bright and with a very comfy bed, the bathroom clean and airy. We loved curling up on the big couch in the living room with a glass of wine and a book or playing board games with visiting friends at the dining room table (they have a great selection). The next time we come here, we'll be sure to stay for longer, we didn't want to let go of that relaxed feeling!

Rosy and Jonathan's house on Pond Road is a truly serene escape in beautiful Truro with easy access to some of the Cape's best beaches. The house has been recently restored with just the right mix of vintage style and modern amenities: you can feel the personal touch in every detail. It is spacious with a nice flow--our family of four was always comfortable, even when the grandparents joined us for several nights! We found everything in the detailed rental description to be completely accurate and the place is even nicer than the pictures suggest. Plus there were so many extras: beach gear and games, pantry stocked with essentials, awesome books on the shelves. Pond Road has an old-fashioned Cape village feel--it's quiet and chill, with people walking to and from the nearby beach and shops. When we arrived, the brightest light came from the full moon reflected in Pilgrim Pond across the street.

The reviews and description about Rosy and Johnathon's house on Pond Road is all accurate. The house is a charmer; classic cape cod; lovingly restored. The owners have thought about every detail about the space, décor and amenities in the house and on the property to ensure guests have a cozy, comfortable stay with all the conveniences needed to make a wonderful meal, do laundry, share family time; read. You can feel a personal touch in every way; with so many interesting aspects from the books, to the pantry, to the front screened in porch; outdoor patio, linens,.... I could go on. We really did feel at home, but yet felt we were experiencing classic cape cod. The location is fabulous - you really never have to get in a car if you don't want to; we loved walking to the beach, walking to the café/general store, walking to the local winery; it was close to golf, Provincetown, bus, easy access to the main cape cod highway to navigate the Cape; or take local side roads for cycling or casual drives to the next town. The pictures of the house from the exterior really don't do it justice. When visiting the cape again - I would not hesitate to stay here again - loved it and the location. The owners are lovely to deal with and will ensure you have a great stay.
