About the area

The Sandhill Beachhouse is located on Belle Fontaine Point, the only natural beach in Mississippi. Just step outside and you are on the beach, no streets to cross, no crowds to fight, just beautiful white quartz sand and water! And Horn Island is due south, part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, it is one of the barrier islands. It was featured in Garden&Gun magazine in the Feb/March 2015 issue, a beautiful pristine natural wonder, which Shipshape Charters and Capt. Mike will be glad to ferry you out to for a few hours of sun and fun. Just a short drive into Ocean Springs, a quaint small town which focuses on the creative arts. Its many art galleries, antique shops, clothing boutiques, locally owned restaurants and festivals, featuring local artists' work, provide plenty of shopping, dining and cultural activities for visitors and locals alike. Just over the bridge and into downtown Biloxi, are the gaming casinos, the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art, Beauvior, Biloxi Mardi Gras Museum and Lynn Meadows Discovery Center for Children to highlight a few. Also available are plenty of boating activities including fishing charters ( ask about Shipshape Charters' fishing charter pricing), shrimping tours, and eco-tourism tours. For more attractions and information, please visit the Biloxi Visitor's Center and/or the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce.
