“Nice house with good fishing”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2014

The house is very nice and large which worked well with my large family. We did catch several crab and had a crab boil and caught a couple of 7 lb. red fish from shore (next to sea wall). The only negative issue is the smell of the tap water ( investing in a odor eliminating filter would help) The ocean water was very cloudy. I would go back and rent again....my family had a blast!

Owner's reply: we now have a chlorinating system--which hopefully helps--thanks for a review and hope you return--

We had a great time over Thanksgiving! We caught and boiled crabs which was entertaining for the whole family. We loved the private beach, seclusion and peacefull atmosphere. The water system did take some getting use to and was especially stronger in the early morning hours. We hope to return next year during the spring/summer.

One of the best things was being directly on the beach. We usually rent a place anywhere from Long Beach to Biloxi, but we are always separated from the beach by Beach Blvd. Since we don't let them go off on their own, the kids always have to wait on us to go with them, which sometimes can take a while. But, at your home, they could go right out the back door and we didn't have to go sit in the sun on the beach to keep an eye on them. Let me just say, we had a GREAT week - from 3 to 60, everyone had fun. Thanks

Please read my letter below: Homer, Just a note to let you know we had a wonderful week at your Ocean Springs home last week. My husband and I arrived first, and I must say, I was a little concerned about the 'remote' location of the Ocean Belle I. I told my husband that I was afraid I had made a mistake in my selection because it was so secluded from the busy Biloxi coast my family had been used to. My husband told me "don't worry - the boys will love it." We had our 2 daughters, 6 grandsons (ages 3,9,12,12,14, & 17) and 1 great granddaughter (age 4) with us for the week (plus the dog). The two son-in-laws came for there for the weekend only. When the boys arrived they found a mangled crab trap on the beach that they managed to straighten out. We had brought the party barge with us and had about 4 'set nets' of our own. We got them some bait and by Saturday afternoon they had 5 dz. crabs. So Saturday evening we all had boiled crabs. By Monday they had anot
