Area Information
Ogunquit is known as "a beautiful place by the sea". The 3 mile fine sandy beach is a great plsce for the children to learn to boogie board. The quaint village has many shops, excellent restaurants, and numerous art galleries and studios to explore. Just a 6 minute walk from this cottage is the mile walk known as the Marginal Way. This path along the rocky shore connects near the village and goes to Perkin's Cove. The picturesque cove offers charter fishing & sail boats, boutique shops, more art and great dining. Lots of lobster is available! Ogunquit is a very walkable town, but does provide trolley service for a minimal cost from one end of town to another.

Cozy, clean, comfortable. Quick walk to town and to the little beaches. Would definitely rent again.

Owner's reply:

Dana uses a cat photo-just for everyone's info I'm sorry we don't allow pets, but we'd love to have her back again, too!

Cozy cottage

September 25, 2012

In this particular case cozy means 1950's Main backwood decor which looks like it has not been refreshed since then. The cottage came complete with overflowing garbage cans, a filthy BBQ, a broken down ,partly rotten , picknicktable where the seat flipped up when my wife sat down and gave her quite a scare, rodents in the basement and a blocked drain in the bathtub. When the 6 of us sat around the kitchentable it was so tight that we were not able to open the fridge or even pull the cutlery drawer open without someone getting up to create space, let's not talk about cooking. The telephone did not allow us to make local calls and as our cell-phones only work in Canada we could not call anyone from the cottage. It took 4 weeks to get our deposit back which is unacceptable.

A great time.

An easy, comfortable walk to beaches, oceanside paths and a charming town surround this well stocked cottage nestled under the privacy of tall pines. Roomy for us four, it surely can make even 7 people feel cozy. Centered between Keenebunkport and Kittery, a vacation week on Maine's coast will only charm you. Portland and even Boston are only a easy train away. We're happy we choose the Beau-Beach-Bungalo in Ogunquit.
