Area Information
Ogunquit is a tiny coastal resort town just 70 miles north of Boston, with about 1,900 year-round residents. A culturally and ethnically diverse community, with a significant senior population, as well as associated services and support.
Imagine, sandy beaches, wild blueberries, sailboat rides, and lobster at least once a day! It is pronounced 'lawb-stuh', and is a big attraction here.

The almost 4 mile long Ogunquit Beach, the prettiest stretch of sand on the entire Maine coast, is a beautiful light sand, with gentle dunes and beach grass that wouldn't look out of place on Cape Cod. Ogunquit Beach has three sections, Main Beach, Footbridge Beach, and Moody Beach.

From the center of town, you can follow the Marginal Way, a 1.5 mile oceanfront cliff walking path to tiny Perkins Cove, where a wooden pedestrian drawbridge descends over the working fishing port

The Ogunquit Playhouse, one of the longest-running repertory theaters in the country, stages off-Broadway plays all summer.
Ogunquit Museum of American Art has over 1600 works of art, and is right on the shore! \
