Description of the Oneonta vacation home rental
Known as the "Grande Dame of Goodyear Lake" this authentic Adirondacks lodge was built in 1901 right on the edge of the lake. A gambling retreat in her early years, a speakeasy during the depression, an Olympics kayak training facility in the '70s, now our future retirement home. Totally updated, original hardwood floors throughout, 2 fireplaces, farmhouse dining table, 40' screened sleeping porch overlooking the lake, gameroom. Each bedroom has its own flat-screen TV for a total of 8 including a 42" in living room. WIFI, DVD, air-conditioned bedrooms, etc.

Upstairs there are three 2-bedroom suites. Each consists of a separate queen bedroom, and single bedroom. Each suite overlooks the lake. There is a bathroom on each floor

Home is totally furnished and includes all bed/bath linens.

Uniquely situated on 2 acres of woods and 600' of lakefront property (ski lake), 6 miles to Oneonta (SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick colleges), and 12 miles to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame). Perfect for homecoming, parents weekend and graduation events.

Gorgeous sunrises across the lake, directly across from State nature preserve, and next to Colliers Dam.

Paddle boats and canoes provided, boating, fishing, swmming, private dock.

On the same property but separated by woods and a gate is Amy's Boathouse. This is a 2 BR/1 BA apt. literally located out over the water. This house can be rented separately for $1675/week and it sleeps 7 max with a king bed, 2 queens and a rollaway.

Lake community providing seclusion and privacy, yet close to it all. Typical fast food restaurants and big-box store shopping in both Oneonta and Cooperstown. Tons of antique shops and local restaurants as well. Some of the best fine dining in upstate NY.
