Pacific Beach & Beyond

Area Information
Key pick-up at our office in Pacific Beach. Pacific Beach is an idealic beachtown from yester-year, where things are just a bit quieter things move just a bit slower, and people are just a bit friendlier. The beach goes on for miles...what a great place to run the dog, fly a kite, and collect a sand dollar or two. In town there are quaint shops, as well as places to grab that espresso and break out the laptop.

To the South of Pacific Beach about 20 miles is Ocean Shores. Here you will find all the hustle & bustle of a tourist community. Movies, Bowling, Casino, dancing, and a wide array of restaurants. Visit Ocean Shores for the day, then return to your private paradise.

Amazingly Awesome Experience

December 2, 2014

From the moment you walk in the door, you know your experience is going to be amazing. As you wonder up the steps to the main floor the view of the Pacific takes your breath away it is that expansive because of all the windows looking out. The Kitchen Aid appliances were top of the line, gas fireplace kept the place warm, toasty and added to the ambiance. Each bedroom had its very own bathroom with showers, upstairs are basically 2 master bedroom with king beds one with jetted tub and walk in shower. At night the moon shining on the water was the most outstanding view from the master bedroom, daytime the sun coming in the window would great you each moring. Walks on the beach were fun, after Labor Day you can drive on the beach too - so enjoyable. Beds were comfortable, place was impecably clean - even had a washer and dryer for use. Kitchen was well stocked with the needed utensils, stemware, coffee pot. My 2 grandson's loved finding the tub of toys especially the Thomas the Train set in the closet and enjoyed the games and had a blast with the puzzles. We were able to park in the garage which was rooomie. Couldn't of asked for anything more in a place - oh maybe one item for those of us who are lazy - a Kuerig! The most amazing time, unbelievable views, changes in weather, watching people on the beach, ships out on the water - it was some of everything. Hope to go back again. Simple check in process, and departure. Thank you so much for making this a memorable moment for us to make with the grandboys. Carla & Ted Watts

Lovely beach house

September 21, 2014

The bluff house was lovely and views from the kitchen/living/dining area and the upstairs master bedroom were fabulous. The pictures were a good reflection of what to expect. The gas fireplace was very pleasant and easy to use and the deck was great and also had the excellent view. Our only two negative observations/suggestions would be that the heating/cooling system seems overly complex or not well described for visitor to use (thus the lower floor was generally freezing and the upper rooms could be really hot) and it would be nice if the website pointed out that you almost have to drive to get to the actual beach (not far, only a five minute drive down the hill), as the walk is not practical, with no sidewalks, along the highway and really pretty far. Otherwise, it really was great.

Perfect is the best and only way to describe!

February 22, 2014

The price was right, the amenities were fantastic, fully loaded kitchen/bedroom. Deck was huge and perfect for relaxing and watching the beach activity. The house is well stocked with everything you need for each family member. Toys and coloring books for the kids, magazines and a flat screen TV with full cable and DVD's for the adults. Furniture was comfortable and modern. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots/pans/dishes, etc. The walk to the beach wasn't as accessible as we assumed. When we went in March the trail near the entrance to the beach was flooded so we had to walk back up the hill and drive our truck down. Then you had to walk through semi thick brush to get to the clearing towards the beach. It kind of looked like private property. But the beach was pretty secluded which was nice. We stayed for 3 days and we only saw 2 couples the entire time. I plan on coming back every year if I can find any slots that are open! It books up over a year in advance, so you really have to be on the ball! The website says it was last updated in July 2013 which is kind of disappointing since you can only assume that it is truly booked and nobody has cancelled, but I'll definitely be calling to ensure that it is in fact booked, because I want to squeeze in there at some point if I can!!

beach getaway

September 7, 2013

We enjoyed our visit, the house its self is in pretty good shape. We did notice a few things. There is no washer & dryer. Would have been nice to dry the bath towels and floor matt it was soaked and gross, the toilet constantly leaks. Place could use an overall paint job inside. The floors were sticky in the kitchen. When we finally figured out how to get to the beach, we couldnt have asked for anything better. The directions on the wall are okay. Need to addyou walk through an empty lot at the end of the road. Through a mini forest to the beach. Its best to stock up on food before you arrive there isnt much in the town. Being able to cook at sea smoke was worth it. Oh yes, i think its missing a frying pan. Had to use a deep dish mini pot as one. I would recommend that the owner actually visits his own property to see the touch ups it needs and please get a dryer for the place and fix the bathroom. I might consider staying again as long as there is a dryer, it stays so cool in that area that drying towels would be nice. Inatead of using almoat all of them, and a few for the leaky toilet.

Moclips Treasure

August 30, 2013

My husband and I, and our 3 Goldens spent 3 nights at the beach. I was apprehensive about this rental as it was perfectly affordable. The little place was perfect. Certainly big enough for two; one bedroom with a Murphy bed and a pull out sofa. Fully equiped kitchen, full on view of the ocean with direct access to the beach. Weather was a mix of everything. The only thing that could make this rental even better would be a washer/dryer. The rain kept us wet. Thank you so much for sharing. Christy and Jim Woof from our tired pups, Bella, Mya, and Jamie

Wonderful trip

June 20, 2013

we were unable to stay at this location due to a water issue at the time but were relocated down the beach to the "Sea Oats" cottage. Very quiet and peaceful, great views and quick walk to the beach. Spotless residence with everything we needed. Will make a retun trip for sure.

Owner's reply:

Hi Theresa...Thank you so much for your understand over the need to relocate you due to a broken water main within the community. Although Sea Smoke is an utterly delightful property, I knew that Sea Oats would be a great fit for you as well. We look forward to seeing you in the future!

We loved the house. It was immaculate inside--the best we have rented. When homes accept dogs, they usually are not spotless, but with the wood floors, this was great. Secluded and about an eight minute walk to the beach. Close to Ocean Shores or the new town of Seabrook. We loved it. The only complaint was the leather furniture was uncomfortable. The Olympics were being televised, so we did spend a little more time than usual sitting in chair and sofa.

Great place to stay!!!!

July 31, 2012

My girlfriend and I stayed in this cabin for 3 nights during the July summer. It was fantastic, so relaxing! The cabin was located right on a small river, which was nice to sit out on the deck relaxing; listening to the river. Great updated finishes and good location, close to Olympic National Park. The owners were very helpful/friendly, even had a plate of cookies waiting for us as we checked in. I would definitely stay here again!

Anniversary Weekend

October 14, 2011

The house is very comfortable and well appointed with kitchen items. We feel like we will be back in the summer when it is a bit dryer and warmer but we really enjoyed our time there. Nice and cozy. For a house that is pet friendly it would be better if there were more towels set aside for drying our pets given the wet weather that can occur in the fall. Since there is no washer or dryer, a heated towel rack could suffice in liue of extra towels. Also, because there is no yard, pet gates on each entry to the deck stairs would make it nice to leave the dogs on the deck when the weather is nice and not have them inside or getting into mud. Another pet gate could also be nice to confine pets to the "mud room" just inside the side /back door. That way if the pets are wet from playing on the beach or from rain, they could be cleaned up without getting soil on the nice wood floors. Great views, nice seclusion, and wonderfully equipped kitchen. FYI A little maintainance is needed on the front door. The door knob didn't seem to work. We preferred the mud room entry, so it was no problem or inconveniance..

Refreshed and Invigorated

August 21, 2011

This is a wonderfully clean and well equiped property. The neighborhood was quiet with almost no traffic. The house sits up on a hill overlooking the ocean. You can hear the waves at night while laying in bed. An eight minute walk brings you down to a the beach. Pets are welcome and ours completely enjoyed chasing shore birds while we collected sand dollars at low tide. An Impressive library of movies is available as well as satellite TV, no cell phone or internet service. A washer and dryer would make this propert more attractive but I would return regardless.

A slice of heaven

June 12, 2011

This charming contemporary cottage home exceeded our expectations. A gift package with snacks was waiting for us and the place was nicely decorated with flat screen TV and satellite dish for evening entertainment. Everything we needed for an extended stay was there. Loved it. There was an extensive DVD collection so movie watching was a breeze.. Although the location is very private it was easy to find. Everyone was very friendly with all aspects of our arrival. It was an easy walk to the beach and when at the cottage there was always the great view from the deck. I will defiantly be coming back again for a relaxing change of pace from the hectic working world.

perwinkle cottage

December 2, 2010

The registration was easy and quick. The people I emailed were quick to respond and very helpful!! Once I got there, (late because of the icy roads) the light was on and so was the heat, so I did not have to go into a dark, cold cottage. The gas fireplace was wonderful and put out a lot of heat!! I loved the way Perwinkle was painted and decorated! The colors were refreshing! The art work was fantastic and actually I would like to know if the artist who did the fish paintings in the kitchen has a website. I would love to see more of their work and possibly order a piece. Everyone in town was friendly and helpful! I loved that I could walk to the beach and walk to stores. Upon returning home, I felt like I had really been able to relax and "get away from it all"! I plan on returning again!!Pacific beach is a special vacation spot!! Thank you for creating it!! linda anderson
