Description of the Packwood vacation cabin rental
The RAINIER Log Cabin is our newly listed 1500 square foot vacation rental situated only 170 feet from the Cowlitz River and in the heart of the Pacific Northwest mountains. We are located between Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens and 29 minutes from the powdery ski slopes of White Pass.

Your views of the mountains and river through the enormous windows of the great room are breathtaking. The open floor plan includes kitchen, dining & living room. A gas burning stove sits on top of a beautiful river rock hearth and the gourmet kitchen with it's river rock island, features granite counter tops, dishwasher, gas stove/oven, icemaker & microwave.

The lofted Master bedroom features a four-poster queen bed with a sky light directly above. Sweet dreams are sure to come your way! The private bath features an astounding, one-of-a-kind river rock shower with two shower heads! Turkish robes and high-quality towels make you feel like you have definitely went to heaven!

The lower level bedroom also has an adjacent full bath. Here, you will find a hand crafted copper tub with an oak base. This is the same tub featured on the movie "Maverick." Check it out!

Outside and just a few feet away from the log house, you will find your own personal outdoor covered log kitchen area, complete with BBQ gas grill, adobe oven, picnic table and the ambiance of a pond stocked with goldfish. While you're waiting for those steaks to get done, you can relax on the hammock which swings between two of the logs or in the glider swing, complete with table between the seats.

Whether you want to relax under the stars in the HOT TUB after a day of skiing or hiking, curl up next to the fire with a good book, do some fishing, or throw pebbles in the river, this log house has everything you need for a perfect Pacific Northwest mountain vacation that is right for any season of the year. We look forward to having you as our guests.

My wife and I took my grandparents to this cabin for their 70th anniversary. They love the mountains and this did not disappoint. The cabin is very cozy, close to Mt Rainier National Park and has all the comforts of home. The BBQ hutch and hammock were a pleasant surprise. The owners were very friendly and their garden is to die for! We will definitely be back again!! Thanks for making this memorable for my grandparents.

Thank you Bill and Tricia for a wonderful stay! The cabin was amazing. Every day we woke up to beautiful scenery, tranquility and peace. The cabin was well stocked and comfortable. If anyone likes wildlife, this is the place for them. We saw deer every day and elk across the river, in fields, in Packwood etc. We will definitely return to your property. Maybe around harvest time to see the results of all your hard work in the garden? Tammy and Mike

Owner Supplied Testimonials

This place is really overwhelming. A great final stop on our Canada - USA tour from Germany. Glad we had so much space and comfort. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery on such a beautiful day. Thanks a lot! Britta & Tanja

Hospitality is a gift and you certainly do it well. The attention to details, the beauty of our surrounding ~ it looks as though a lot of effort went in to making people feel welcome. Mt. St. Helens and Mt Rainier are must sees! Our family had a wonderful time together. Wish we could have stayed longer! Lynn Herman, Cincinnati, Ohio

Being so far away from home we felt like At home. The time spend here was unforgettable and we will definitely come back here. Margaret Kelly, New York
