This charming two bedroom cabin encompasses the original structure owned by Frank Oppenheimer of the Manhattan Project in the late 1940s. Witness the grandeur of spectacular mountain vistas from this extraordinary eighty-five acres in the upper Blanco Basin of Colorado's San Juan National Forest. This aspen, pine and wildflower paradise lies at the eastern foot of Square Top Mountain in the San Juan National Mountain Range with some of the highest peaks of the Continental Divide visible to the northeast. The Blanco River borders the property on the east with eight hundred and fifty feet of crystal clear river frontage on both sides of the river; perfect for trout fishing, camping and other recreational activities.

The ranch site, twenty miles east of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, at an altitude of approximately 8200 feet offers esthetic attributes unsurpassed anywhere in North America. To mention only a few: Clean mountain air, pristine springs, gorgeous mountain panoramas, bountiful wildflowers, Rocky Mountain birds galore as well as other abundant wildlife including: American bald eagle, elk, deer, turkey, bear, coyote, porcupine and mountain lion. And certainly not the least of these attributes, the most spectacular and breathtaking views of the nighttime sky to be seen anywhere. At this altitude you can almost touch the stars.
