A perfect 2 bedroom cabin. Seculded, fishing pond, beautiful view, excellent service. Thanks to Jimmy and Sabrina the caretakers, they went out of their way and did an excellent job!! If you want to see the Colorado Rockies and get away from it all, just go here!!!

Great cabin

The Upper Blanco River Basin is one of the prettiest places in Colorado - this cabin sets off the road with abundant wildlife wandering by all day. Very well appointed with very nice decor and great deck areas & balcony. Wonderful beds, plenty of space and 2 bathrooms. We loved this place, located in an area that doesn't often have rentals. Booked for a month this year - you can't go wrong in the basin or with the gracious hosts who own some wonderful property . A lot of activities for those who enjoy bird watching, easy walks hikes, fishing (pond and river) with an easy drive to Pagosa Springs, Wolf Creek Pass or the train at Chama, N.M. We've stayed in this area for years and are never ready to come back home.

We came here to "get away from it all" and it was wonderful! We were close enough to Pagosa Springs that we could take a quick trip to town if we wanted to but far enough out in the wilderness that we felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin was huge, and had all of the comforts of home. There was even a TV with satellite! The kitchen is a nice size and has pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, oven, fridge and more. Upstairs there is a big porch with a swing, which I took a few naps on! We have never seen so much wildlife on one trip! We went on a walk one morning and saw elk, a beaver, chipmunk's hummingbirds, hawks, deer and turkey. We also went on a drive one day and saw a bear and her two cubs running across the highway! We took our two small dogs with us and they had a blast! We went on so many walks with them, but each time we got back they were ready to go out again. I didn't think we were going to be able to get them in the car to come home! The owners of the cabin have several cabins in the same area plus their cabin was just up the road. This made it easier to go pretty much wherever we wanted. They also have property to get to the river which was nice since there are several other private properties in the area which would make river access a bit challenging otherwise. The owners were super nice. We will definitely be back again someday!

Lovely spot in Colorado. Very clean and well- stocked, had everything we needed. Quite a drive off the main road, but scenery made the 30 minutes back and forth to town enjoyable.
