It's a Hamlet, sleepy, neighborly, tiny. Lots of great amenities, a world class down home bistro who creates the most amazing baked goodies, salads, creative soups and grilled treats, 2 awesome restaurants (One of which has creekside dining one has rocking seasonal music, an upscale wine store, library, post office, gas station. All this and an amazing view of the stars. The Milky-way is closer here, it's a wonder you'll want to catch. We're conveniently located between Hunter Mountain and Windham for winter sports, (10 miles to Hunter), Woodstock / Saugerties (10 miles) for summertime activities. Dine in Saugerties (8 miles) and try Miss Lucy's, The Red Onion, or 'Cue. Stroll to nearby Fernwood Restaurant for a leisurely world cuisine lunch or dinner. The Woodstock Film Festival, held each October, is a movie lovers delight and the Woodstock Writers Festival is an intellectual odyssey . Summer is the time for H.I.T.S., a major equestrian event located in Saugerties, just minutes away. Saugerties also provides easy access to the Hudson River for boating and sailing. The village itself is home to renowned pubs, restaurants and a variety of shops, including unique antique stores where you'll hunt for potential treasures. We're just 5 minutes from Twin Peaks Doughnuts where you'll find custom made to order doughnut sliders served along side of healthy local salads and eggs that you can eat while playing pool or perusing antiques (Pool table available at breakfast). Nature lovers will appreciate the access to hiking and fishing. Trout fishing is less than a block from the house and the Kaaterskill Clove trail heads are within 3 blocks. Waterfalls, 2 trailheads the lead to 2 different mountain ranges, The Circle W (Local Organic Eatery and general store.), Library, Star Gazing, The Rip Van Winkle Country Club, The Fernwood Restaurant, Gas station with minimart that has the best samosas you will ever eat! Getting around

Amtrak to Hudson then cab to the door Adirondack Trailways Bus from The Port Authority in NYC (Ask the to drop you in Palenville at The Circle W. 3 blocks from the place.

2 Hours from the George Washington Bridge by car. Or take the Amtrak to Hudson New York and enjoy a relaxing vacation on the way to the vacation. Adirondack Trailways bus leaves you off just 4 blocks from the place.
