Description of the Palm Desert vacation condo rental
Spacious 3 bed/2 bath single level home in the centrally located Sandpiper Community. 1900 sq ft with Wireless Internet. The home is located off El Paseo, the main street of Sandpiper complete with quaint shops and many walkable restaraunts! The home is beautifully lit by skylights and bountiful windows. Enjoy hosting friends with the classic interior decor and modern amenities.

Relax on your own quiet enclosed back patio while surfing the web through our wireless router. (Or use the desktop computer inside the home). There is also another patio that looks onto the community grounds. Those grounds contain a heated pool, shuffle board and BBQ. Come enjoy the constant California sun in this desert Oasis! Available weekly, monthly or multi-monthly.

We believe in plush sheets (on all double beds) and sleeping 8 in a fun family place for less than all the others. We have enjoyed this home with our grandparents for many years and want others to share our experience of swimming, playing, relaxing, hosting, dancing, and escaping!

The master has a King bed, 2nd bedroom has a Queen and two twin size day beds that can confortably sleep two children, 3rd bedroom has a full bed. Mattresses graduate from very firm in the master to very soft for the full, this way, no matter your preference, you will have a comfortable bed!

Walk three blocks to the famous El Paseo shopping/food district, grocery shop at Vons across the street or walk 5 blocks the other direction to Starbucks! Tons of golfing nearby too.

The indoor Mall (off 111) is two blocks away, the "River" mall is 2 miles away. This community was one of the first in Palm Desert, it has a classic family feel and is THE most centrally located of them all.

Convenient Location

My husband and I along with my mother and aunt recently stayed in this condo for 1 week. The separation of the master bed & bath from the other two bedrooms and bath worked well for our group, with varying sleep schedules. The condo was well equipped for food preparation or within easy walking distance to an abundance of restaurants. With a private courtyard and an open patio space, the choice could be made for where you preferred to sit and soak up the sun. With the overall large size of the condo we were surprised that it did not have a bathtub, which would have been preferable for our group. However, we would definitely rent this unit again.

Holiday Family Getaway

We rented this unit hoping it would be a perfect location for our widespead family, and it was. The house was perfect for 8 (six adults & two children) as it has three bedrooms. The MBR is gigantic with a enclosed patio right outside the sliding glass doors and a sitting room off the bathroom. The second bedroom was great for our son, wife and grandkids (6 & 9) with a second bathroom. The day beds provided for the children were convenient for each one having their own bed. The third bedroom opened out to a small patio that faced the common grassy area where the heated swimming pool, shuffleboard and putting green are. The living room was ideal with a large sectional allowing everyone to be able to gather together. It also had a 52" TV with HD cable service provided. The dining room table seated 8 people comfortably with an additional two stools at a high counter. We cooked a few meals for 8 and all dishes, silverware, etc and a gas grill are provided. The location of this unit was great. Von's supermarket, Starbucks, 99c only store, McDonalds all within a few blocks as well as a Target store in walking distance. Many restaurants of all price ranges within a few miles in all directions. Hiking in the foothills very close and the winter sun and 75 degree temps were welcome after leaving cold Minnesota. From -15 to +80 when we arrived. All in all this home was perfect for out needs and well enjoyed. We'd recommend it to anyone.

Can't Wait to Come Back!

it was love at first sight. The photos said it all. Clean, bright condo that kept it's mid-century charm. Once we arrived the condo exceeded our expectations. The location couldn't have been better. Close to shops, movies, restaurants and nestled against the beautiful mountains. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the kumquat tree on the common patio. We had the pleasure of watching a hummingbird perch on the citrus tree in the private patio every morning. The interior was clean and we loved the vintage furniture, all of which was in excellent condition. The beds were very comfortable, we slept well every night. As I said, we can't wait to come back!

Since the last reviews were posted, the property has undergone major upgrades including: new tile flooring (carpet still in the bedrooms), new paint (non VOC), new fridge, new Flat screen wall mounted 52” TV in the living room, new window shades, new landscaping in the back patio area, and new plush bedding. You were a superb renter and we can't wait to have you back!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful outlook, quiet estate, well kept. It did what it said on the tin at a very reasonable price. We felt we were using a family home that had a history. Comfortable space, bedrooms comfortable. The condo had the sun on the patio all day which was a bonus. The condo needs minor repairs, hence the 4 stars. A little dated but that was part of its charm. The photos on the web site do not this home or the complex justice.
