Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How far are you from downtown Palm Springs?
A: We are about a 10 minute drive to Palm Canyon Drive, the Airport, and the Convention Center.
We are also 10 minutes from Rancho Mirage, and about 7 minutes from I-10 to LA and Phoenix.
Q: Are you located in Palm Springs?
A: Desert Princess is located on @ 500 acres with a 27 hole golf course, professional tennis center, fitness center, spa, and hotel on the Palm Springs/Cathedral City property line.
Q: What is there to do in Palm Springs?
A: Well.. for starters there is the Coachella Music Festival, the best musical venue in the world each April. There is are world class golf and tennis tournaments... which used to be called the Bob Hope Classic and the Dinah Shore/LPGA. Probably more golf courses than anywhere else in the US. Outstanding cuisine, fun and interesting bars, 350 days of sun, and the best Tram in the United States to take you up to the top of Mt. San Jacinto.
Q: I thought it's too hot to come to Palm Springs in the Summer?
A: Summer in Palm Springs can be great because about half the toursim population is gone.
You kind of have the town to yourself, as well as many of the best dinning stops in the Valley.

In the old days before A/C, the town pretty much closed down for the summer.
But now, like Scottsdale and Las Vegas, Palm Springs promotes the sunshine and fun around the pools, with early morning golf and tennis... along with excellent value in lodging... about 50% off high season.
