St Germain des Pres

The Left Bank - for many people it is a state of mind, for Parisians it is the "quartier" of St. Germain. From existentialists to writers to musicians to fashion models, St Germain is the place to hang in Paris. Every street is fashionable, every bistro divine, every caf� the essence of Paris.

So why not enjoy Paris the way Parisians do? When you stay in this lovely apartment you are in the heart of the Left Bank. The rue Rousselet is a quiet street situated along the large, private garden of a convent. From the apartment, within a leisurely fifteen-minute walk, one can visit the Rodin Museum, Les Invalides, or the incredible Musee D'Orsay. You can go the other direction and have an aperitif at Caf� Flore or at Les Deux Magots, shop at the classiest boutiques on the rue du Four, Vaugirard, Cherche Midi or rue de Sevres. Take a stroll along the Blvd. St. Germain, go to the open market on the Blvd. Raspail, hit the small shops of the rue du Bac. Every street in this incredible neighbourhood is filled with delightful surprises for the body (rue de Buci - great gastronomic treats), the mind (rue du Seine - full of bookstores and galleries), the spirit (the Place Furstenberg where Ingres had his studio) and the soul (St. Suplice - one of Paris' most beautiful churches with a marvelous square in front of it.)

And when you are tired of all this excitement and shopping, you return to your tasteful, calm apartment overlooking a great garden, a view of the Eiffel Tower and enjoy the setting sun. For a great dinner you don�t have to go far, the neighborhood is full of wonderful restaurants and bistros.

Our fourth (fifth US) floor apartment looks out onto a large, private garden in the heart of Paris. With the Eiffel Tower in the background, stunning sunsets and a beautiful view of a private garden, your stay in Paris could not be more romantic.

At fifty square meters (500 square feet), the apartment feels larger because, with no building in front of it, the rooms are filled with sunlight. The nights are quiet because no cars can park on the street.

This 19th century building is located in the heart of St. Germain. There is a charming entrance way and a small two person lift to bring you upstairs. The apartment consists of two rooms and a bathroom. The bedroom overlooks the garden and from the queen size bed you can see the Eiffel Tower, night and day.

The large living room, dining room, kitchen has a loft feel with windows at both ends. One set looks out over the garden and the other over a private courtyard, providing great cross ventilation. Refurbished in 2003, the apartment is decorated with a mix of traditional and contemporary furniture, wood floors, fireplace, high ceilings and quality fabrics. All in all, a tasteful and very comfortable place to stay.

As for the furnishings, they include a top quality Queen bed, special �bad back�-natural latex and wooden slates-, and a comfortable convertible sofa.

The apartment is perfect for a couple but can suit 2 small children or a third adult on the sofa.

Of course we supply linen, towels, downs, blankets and other necessities. For those staying more than one week, weekly maid service is included at no extra cost.
