“Perfect Lake front Cottage!”

We were very happy with our stay! House is spacious and clean. Our teenage boys had a great time fishing, kayaking, swimming and paddle boating. House is perfect for a relaxing vacation for adults and lots of things to do for the kids. Couldn't ask for more!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. I am very pleased that you and your family had a nice time and you found the home to your liking.

“Going back”

Reviewed 28 Sep 2015

We stayed for a weekend in September to see if we would be interested in renting it next summer. We fell in love with the place as soon as we got out of the car, The view, the grounds, the nature, everything was what we were looking for in a vacation rental. There is plenty of room for a large group but not too big for just a couple. Comes complete with just about every amenity you could require. Kayak, canoe, paddle boats, games, movies, books, hiking and more. We will definitely be back again next summer and for a longer stay to take advantage of all this place and surrounding area has to offer.

“Summer Rental”

Reviewed 1 Sep 2015

My wife, Kids and grand kids had a great time, even though the weather didn't cooperate. Lots of things to do... Wish we would have had a jet ski or boat though. Maybe next time. I would recommend the house for any family trip. I really liked the screened porch. Barbara was very nice and it was reasonably priced.

“Great Lake house!”

Our family loved this vacation spot on Lake Cora! The home is well maintained, the lake is clean and beautiful. The owner responds quickly to questions and really cares about providing a great get-away. We will definitely return!

“Great lakefront getaway!”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2015

We had a great week at this house. It had lots of room for the various groups of friends and family we hosted with cookouts and swimming. The kitchen is large and fully stocked with dishes, bowls, pans, etc. Nothing was missing. There were a lot of lawn chairs so everyone had a seat. The only thing that would be helpful would be adding a hand rail to the front and back steps. Some of us have a little difficulty with steps and it would have been helpful. Overall had a great time and would recommend this place.

We stayed at this property for a week and had a very enjoyable time. We took our two dogs and they had a blast in the water. They have many amenities at your disposal from canoes, kayaks, paddle boat, etc. it was very relaxing and I wouldn't hesitate recommending staying here.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for the positive review.

“awesome rental....”

Reviewed 15 Dec 2013

This rental was so much better than getting a hotel. The owners we're so great to us you wouldn't believe it. Jan had hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookies ready for us when we got there. She and John we're so generous and helpful to us in too many ways to write them all down here. We will be coming back again next summer. Rent it, you won't be sorry...

“Great House for Family Reunion”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2013

We had three of our children with spouses and their six children stay with us at the house which served us all very well. Beach and shallow water near shore was ideal for the little guys under 5 and our oldest grandson and his dad caught oodles of fish mostly large mouth bass. Lake Cora is clean and the local golf course fun to play (not pristine, however, by any standard). All in all we had a great vacation with our family. There are lots of fun toys available for the kids and Paw Paw has a couple of good restaurants. The only minor shortcoming is the shortage of closet and drawer space.

“Hockey For Life Weekend”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2013

My husband and I go to Oshtemo, Michigan every year for a charity hockey tournament. This year we traveled with 4 friends and decided a house would be a better, more suitable option for 6 people and our 1 year old son than a hotel. The house was nice, has 3 small bedrooms. The many beds are nice for a large quantity of people but 2 rooms are tightly packed with beds so everyone needs to be well acquainted. The outdoor set up would be great in the summer, unfortunately for us that we were there in April- too cold for outdoor activities like bonfires, swimming or kayaking. Only problem with the house was the lack of water pressure. The shower would barely turn on to the shower-head because of the lack of pressure and if someone is doing dishes at the same time, the water is dribbling out. The house fit our needs well though other than the water pressure.

Owner's reply: Water pressure issue has been resolved.
