The house is located in a gated community located on the part of Santa Rosa Island that is known as Pensacola Beach. We are a small neighborhood that has a private pool, community fishing pier and is nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and Santa Rosa Sound - both a short walk South or North.
The island bike path is just outside the neighborhood entrance and runs the entire span of the Island - all the way East to Navarre Beach or West to Ft. Pickens. Adult and children's bikes are provided - please bring your own helmets. We also provide beach chairs and umbrellas and various beach toys. Feel free to use ours and/or donate yours to the collection when you leave.
This house is very elegantly designed and decorated for family living. The house is light and airy and well equipped for multi-families living together on vacation. The house has three levels which allows your group to spread out. The main living area of the house is on the third level with impressive views of the Gulf and the Sound and the sunset all year round. With five bedrooms this house provides ample sleeping for up to sixteen people where everyone gets a bed - no futons or sleeper sofas! There are two king bedrooms on the third level. The second level has a master suite with a queen plus two twins, two bunk rooms (each sleeping 4) and three bathrooms.
A large kitchen designed for groups has two ovens, two refrigerators, two dishwashers and seating for 16. There are even two laundry rooms in the house. Wrap around decks with glass railings provide 360 degree unobstructed views up and down our lovely island. Lounge chairs and dining tables give your group a relaxing setting for outside dining and sunbathing.
The house overlooks the community pool and is close a community fishing pier shared by the neighborhood. Other amenities include kayaks, bicycles, outdoor grill, free wireless internet (bring your own laptop), and flat screen TV's in every room. We provide lots of books, movies and games so that you can enjoy your time inside after a full day on the beach.
Boats and jet skis are welcome but they must be kept on trailers in the garage or tied to our mooring ball during your stay. (No parking boats, RV's or trailers in driveways or on street). This is a family neighborhood - so no house parties or large events are permitted. Small weddings are permitted for an extra fee.
Our neighborhood is located next to Portofino towers. From our pier you can walk East along the sound past Portofino for miles and miles on an empty beach where you can find crabs and all kinds of wildlife.
Pensacola Beach is a great place for groups of all ages. We chose this island to live because it is a real community and a tourist destination. We have our own elementary school, two full-time churches, a small grocery store and boutique shopping. There are free outdoor concerts on Tuesday nights in the summer, great bands at the local bars all year long, and a range of restaurants from burgers to fine dining. Not to mention the outdoor things you come here for - surfing, swimming, fishing, bike riding, and walking on the beach. Several charter fishing boats leave out of Pensacola Beach. The beaches are open for anyone to walk - throughout the entire island. We don't have any private beaches or walls of condos that stretch from the road to the beach. And if you feel you need outlet shopping, SilverSands Outlet Mall is 55 minutes via the newly opened beach road. Downtown Pensacola has become the "hip" place to hang out with fine dining, art galleries, museums and great night spots.

The house is better than the pictures listed. It is an amazing house! Our group loved every inch of the house. The stay was very comfortable and with more room than what expected. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

We were able to spend a week at Beach Waves and the only thing wrong with our vacation was that we had to leave. Miramar Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in the country. The house is spacious and inviting and the back porch is to KILL for!! A fantastic view of the beach and water and only a 2 minute walk to the Gulf! There are tons of fabulous restaurants within a 10 minute drive from the house... and many activities are found close by if you want to get off the beach for a while. We LOVE Beach Waves and can't wait to come back!!!
"A wonderful family gathering on the beach celebrating a graduation, an Eagle Scout ceremony, birthdays and just being together. House was perfect for our group and we enjoyed so many activities in the area. Sam Miller catered a family dinner one night - we didn't have to cook or cleanup. Live music at Paradise; golfing at Navy course; a boat ride out to Pensacola Pass to see Dolphins, sailing on Roka Dobi for Lea's 50th birthday (1st place); Fireworks from back deck over Sound; Naval Aviation Museum. Thanks Brenda for sharing your house with our family!" - Prausa, Wisconsin, 06/05/10
"Thanks again so much. We could not have had a better stay ~~ a beautiful vacation home with lots of room for our 4 families, the elevator for the elderly grandparents, perfect weather, and NO OIL on the beach! The kids had a great time on the sound with the kayaks (even some of us older generationals gave it a try, although my shoulders were sore for 2 days!) We did have a little trouble getting the stove top to heat, but then realized we had to turn it all the way up to begin heating. And the oven seemed to vent out into the room and took a while to heat as well. Maybe we just weren't familiar with the convection oven controls and weren't setting it right. These were minor issues for us as we celebrated my husband's 65th birthday, my niece's 19th birthday, and our son's high school graduation. We made some incredible memories ~~ including getting a professional photographer's portrait of the family on the beach! My father (86) even enjoyed a swim in the pool !! I learned a few new "college" games called, "Beer Pong" and "Corn Hole" -- similar to Ring Toss (using pingpong balls) and Bean Bag Toss. Thanks again, Maria....... Thank you for the use of the elevator.... it was a great help for my parents" - Hornsby, Pensacola, 06/12/10
"We had a wonderful time. The house acccomodated all of us and we were very comfortable. Our group ranged in ages from 14 to 86. Our kids said "best place ever stayed!". Elevator was a big help for my parents. Enjoyed eating at Crabs as well as kayaking, swimming, ping pong, walks on beach and playing games on the large dining room table." - Hudgens, Pensacola, 06/12/10

"Wonderful house, nice soft sheets. Thank you. Enjoyed kayaking to see the dolphins and eating at Hemmingways. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and the beaches were beautiful!! "House had lots of space and is a beautiful home. Thanks so much. Our favorite adventures were seeing dolphins off the pier, going to the Naval Avaition Museum on a rainy day and kayaking on the bay. Weather was hot, some rain but our last day was beautiful." - McDaniels, South Carolina, 07/03/10
"We are a big family - 30 people in all renting three houses in this neighborhood - our seventh year in this neighborhood and 40th year at Pensacola Beach! Enjoyed tubing, boating and being with the family. Used mooring balls in neighborhood to leave our boat and spent all day long on the Bay. No signs of oil on beaches or water during our trip. Mostly ate at home - mom's cooking is best but kids enjoyed Surf Burger and Peg Leg Pete's. House was great - it was nice for the grandparents to be able to sit on the deck and watch the kids in the pool next door and the elevator was helpful. A few suggestions - grab bars in the king bathroom. Make sure you turn off gas grill at night as it uses the same propane tank as the hot water heater. We want to come back same dates next year!" - Eschette, Louisiana, 07/17/10
"Hot and sunny all week. We don't want to go home yet and we plan to come back again! Our favorite adventures were collecting seashells, kayaking in the sound, parasailing, renting a wind runner, swimming in the pool and floating on the tubes in the Gulf. Thanks for providing all the beach toys. This was our first visit to Pensacola Beach and we loved it. The Naval Aviation Museum is huge and not to be missed. Ate at Shane's Rib Shack, Aloha Grill and had one of the best steaks ever at the Oar House. The house was great, especially the outside shower. The house was large and fully equipped and we enjoyed our stay. The "Butterfly" room needs alarm clock and a mirror. " - Schillinger, Illinois, 07/31/10
We enjoyed the house SO MUCH. I am happy to hear we were your easiest guest all summer! I have to say I was sad to go. I loved the view and the breeze on the balconys...and all the shells and the parasailing and the jet ski and the Navel museum and the....I could go on and on! I never did get to see any dolphins...guess I will have to come back next year! My daughter (12 years old) wrote in the guess book...she loved it too. My 14 year old son rarely leaves his computer at home said it was better then he thought it would be (that is a compliment). My husband was like me...it didn't take much to turn into a beach bum! No shoes...no worries! Thanks again. The house was very well equipped and we loved it. " Dale - Carbondale IL 7/31/2010
