Description of the Pensacola vacation home rental
This beautiful 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom home sits on 100 feet of gorgeous Perdido River/Bay waterfront with its own deep water dock. It is fenced (on 3 sides) and resides in a quiet waterfront neighborhood next to a nature preserve.

The home is in the Beulah suburb of Pensacola and is 8 minutes from the Escambia County Equestrian Center, 10 minutes from the Navy Federal offices on 9 Mile Road, and 12 minutes to 1-10.

This private home is ground level providing easy access for you and your guests. There are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, both with skylights. The Great room is very spacious, has a cathedral ceiling, plenty of seating, and a large flat screen TV. There is a sleeper sofa that will sleep two guests. All TVs offer satellite television.

The Great room opens to the Florida Room which has sliding glass doors on 3 sides providing an incredible view of the water in all directions. The Florida room has skylights, walls and ceiling of knotty cedar, two very comfortable couches as well as a dining table for 6. Guests spend most of their time in this room. Open the doors, close the screens, and just let the wind blow through!

The Master bedroom has a nice view of the water through French doors leading to the Florida Room. It features a comfortable queen bed, a nice TV, two closets, and a private bathroom with shower. The washer and dryer are conveniently located in a closet in the master bath.

The second bedroom has a great waterfront view and offers a queen bed and a TV. The third bedroom has two twin beds and a TV. The 2nd bathroom is in the hallway between bedrooms 2 and 3.

The kitchen has all electric appliances and offers ample counter space and a breakfast bar with stools. The kitchen is well stocked with flatware, silverware, cookware, and other implements you might need.

There is also an office on the street side of the house with an adjoining screened porch with swing.

Outside, on the waterfront, you will find a detached waterside screened porch with two (2) lounge chairs, and a table with 4 chairs. The screening is tinted, and therefore this makes a wonderful place to read a book or fall asleep with a cool breeze and the sound of the water. Plus, the table is a great place to eat outdoors.

The dock is 70 feet long. On one side sits our boat on a boat lift. Unfortunately, I cannot rent the boat for use, however if you want a boat during your stay, you can bring your own and launch it down the street, or rent one from a marina. Water at the end of the dock is about 5-6 feet in summer and 4-5 feet in winter, plenty for most boats. Your boat can park easily on the other side of the dock.

The dock is incredible for fishing and swimming. Standing on the dock, we have caught redfish, black drum, sheepshead, catfish, pinfish, bass (lots of bass), crappie, flounder, trout, and more. The home resides in an estuary. There are fish and birds and other wildlife everywhere. MOST remarkable are the dolphins that cruise by regularly (mostly in the morning). You will be sitting on the dock enjoying your morning coffee and get startled by the "whoosh" of a dolphin as it comes up to breathe during its morning breakfast of mullet.

As you look out across the wide expanse of water, there are miles and miles of fresh and salt water fishing to be enjoyed. To the right are the Perdido, Blackwater, and Styx rivers. To the left is Perdido Bay which leads to the intracoastal waterway, and then to the Gulf of Mexico.

Kayaking and canoeing are very popular at our house. We provide a canoe for you to use to explore the area. Life jackets are provided. You are welcome to bring your own boats.

Also of note are: Outdoor enclosed shower, Cool deck with lounging areas around the back of the house, rod holders on dock, great outdoor lighting, alarm system, fenced on 3 sides, ceiling fans in every room, some dogs allowed.
