About the area

Perry is a small town (population 850) on the Passamaquoddy and Cobscook Bays. It is near Eastport, Me, the eastern most city in the United States, and Calais, Me, border town with St. Stephen, NB. Many of our guests spend their entire day on the point- beach walking, bird watching, reading and relaxing. Nearby one can choose from several hikes, from easy to challenging, salt water or fresh water paddling venues, and, in season, there are also some interesting, local and good restaurants to try. Amenities in Perry, or right next door, include a small grocery with meat counter, ice cream stand (seasonal), gas station and convenience store, post office, smoked salmon shop.

“We loved it!”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2016

Wonderful hosts, gorgeous private setting, couldn't ask for anything more. Our almost 16year old entertained himself just fine without electronics! 3 immense beaches to explore at low tide, I felt like a kid again. (Lobsters at Quoddy Bay Lobster are fresh off the boat and delicious) Endless views and sunrise. Way too many things to do for just a 2 day stay. We will be back for a week next time!

Owner's reply: Thanks so much, Karen. You and your family were our favorite kind of guests - lvoing what the point has to offer.

“Perfect Weekend Getaway”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2015

This small cabin was perfect to relax in for the weekend. We walked the shoreline and found numerous sand dollars and sea urchins. The sunset and sunrise were beautiful to watch!

Owner's reply: Thanks! We were happy to have you visit.

“Rustic and Quiet Get-A-Way”

We stayed here for a week and my wife and I loved the rustic character of the cabin. We hated to leave when the time came. If you enjoy camping and being in the outdoors but like the comfort of a clean cabin then this place is for you.

“A Serene and Beautiful Place”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2014

My 10 yr. old daughter and I spent an absolutely lovely 4 nights wandering on the beach, reading, playing chess and laughing! To wake up and see the heads of seals in the distance was a treat! We found sand dollars, sea urchins, interesting rocks and sea glass. The cabin was just perfect and just as described. We loved the outdoor shower! The outhouse was clean and a great experience for my daughter. The propane stove, frig and water heater were fine touches to our 'rustic' experience! We enjoyed having a fire at night and I loved awakening to the gorgeous sunrise through the sliders. What a glorious way to begin the day! The bed and the couch had been covered with beautiful handmade quilts- took our breath away when we open the door! Our hosts could not have been more helpful and were such kind people! My daughter tried her first lobster with an excellent recommendation from our host! I hope to keep them as friends for years to come. We are so blessed when beautiful souls are put in our pathes... We will return again- that goes without saying!!!

Owner's reply: Thanks for your kind praise, Trena. You and Jamie are our favorite kind of guests - liking what's here and not comparing with what's not here. You did forget to mention we walk on water...just saying. Looking forward to your next visit already.

“Solitude, peace and quite”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2013

Susan was a fantastic hostess, and the cabin was supplied with everything you would need, including pans utensils, towels, sheets, games, books, and more, all you need is food. After showing us around we were left to our own to enjoy the view and just relax, this cabin is truly the most private and relaxing vacation we have ever had. Your not far from Eastport with its little shops and a some real good places to eat. We ate at the Chower House which was excellent, and we watched the whales as we ate. As an added bonus Susan gave us some Lambs Ear from her garden which now has a special place in our garden.Thank you Susan

“Rustic Cabin Passamaquoddy Bay”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2011

Awesome place. Clean. Everything you need right down to fire wood. Beautiful view with fields for the dog to play. Very quite and private. Gas grill. Fire pit. Fridge, gas stove, lots of every kind of dishes. Flashlights. Games, puzzles, reading material including things to do in the area. Cabin warm with 2 kinds of heat sources. Outdoor shower adequate. 2 hole clean. We had a blast. It was heaven. I would recommend and did take a flyer to post at my work. Well worth the money. Will see if available my next trip up to that area.

We stayed for a week in July and we fell totally in love with this beautiful place! The cottage is immaculate and has everything you need. Host and hostess are lovely and kind. We could not have asked for anything more. We certainly plan to come back.
